I stayed at Coral Hill Bungalows and enjoyed a great time. Cahuita itself is a sleepy village, so don't come here for party. But if you are looking for tranquility and unspoiled nature, this is the place to be! Cahuita National Park is in walking distance and you have a garuantee to see beautiful butterflies (that's why I came here),...

We were a bit unlucky with the weather (storm over Costa Rica), but luckily we could shelter in this beautiful place. Breakfast was incredibly delicious and so refined, I miss that marmalade already :-) Many thanks to Chris and Joe. Greg&Daphné

We stayed in a bungalow for four nights on a recent trip to Cahuita. The accommodation is a short walk from the beach and town (shorter if you hire a bike from Brigette around the corner). The owners are very helpful and the accommodation is excellent. A fantastic breakfast is also included in the price. I would highly recommend Coral...

If you are searching for a tropical adventure while enjoying sophisticated accommodations, then Coral Hills Bungalows is for you. Chris and Joe were behind the success of my incredible stay, which included a waterfall, swimming at exquisite beaches, and a visit to the Bribri indigenous area where there was a home harvesting cocoa and an iguana farm. Chris and Joe...

Upon arrival at Coral Hill and facing the beautiful solid wooden doors and wondering how to get in, I noticed a bell with a string attached which I pulled. In minutes Chris, the innkeeper came and let us in. When the gates opened our first glimpse was of lovely grounds, wonderful statues, lush gardens and a more than ample gravel...

We stayed here for the beginning of our trip throughout Costa Rica. I wish that any other hotel in the country was a good as this one! We loved it, the caretakers were so friendly, they arranged for us to do tours when ours were cancelled. They also gave us tips for dinner and going out on New Years Eve....

After arriving in San Jose sometime early in the afternoon, we rented a car and proceeded to the Hotel Martino outside of Alajuela. Nice spacious grounds, pool, restaurant, friendly local staff, and an overall Italian theme. Spent one night and then journeyed off early the next morning on what ended up being about a five hour drive to Cahuita. No...
