My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with our family here. We knew we would be well taken care of when our taxi driver, lost after a four hour drive from San Jose, phoned the Inn. Not content to simply give directions, Marjorie guided him turn by turn to the gate, standing outside to look for us and waving us...

Our extended family of eight stayed here and had a marvelous time. The grounds are beautiful with lots of small wildlife. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed and helping us with some day tours. The breakfast of fresh fruit, bread, eggs, coffee, etc. was great. We also really appreciated the refreshing...

My husband and I stayed for 5 days in January 2011. We arrived 24 hours late due to cancelled flights. We walked up to the hotel in the dark...tired and needing a cerveza! Michelle greeted us quickly, took us to our apartment and brought us 2 cold beers. That's great service! We loved the apartment on the second floor overlooking...

This place has really pretty gardens and a swimming pool. The breakfasts are lovely and the rooms are clean. They can do your laundry for you and there is a book swap facility too. The beaches nearby are good and there is a restaurant called sobre las olas, just across the road which is really excellent.

Don't bother with this inn. My partner and I stayed there and found it to be mediocre at best. We arrived after staying at the impeccable Playa Negra Guesthouse down the road. They could only accommodate us for three nights so we found this place which received great reviews. So OVERRATED!! We arrived to no greeting from our host who...

Dear Guests, they always say, don't you judge a book by its cover ... We're really sorry you had such a short time with us and did not like us. We do appreciate honesty and one thing caught my eye when you mentionned our breakfast. You totally forgot to say that you were allergic to fresh fruits and bread which...

Bad service, bad breakfast, bad advice (e.g. sent us to a shnorkeling tour instead of diving). Not welcoming. If you decide to go there, please ask for a concrete bungalows close to the (small) swimming pool and not the wooden house behind.

My boyfriend and I stayed at El Encanto Inn in October 2010. First off....Cahuita (and the entire Caribbean coast) is off the beaten track, and not full of big, luxury resorts like some other parts of Costa Rica. But you can find small, elegant places to stay like El Encanto. The Inn is outside of the main part of town,...

This is my second time coming to this place this year and I'm so glad I did. The place is so relaxing, the staff is really helpful in everything, we did the snorkeling tour and it was really amazing. Cahuita is such a pretty place, the Park is a wonder. And it's so nice to be walking distance from everything....

We have traveled to Costa Rica twice and are trying to make it an every year occurrence. We stumbled upon El Encanto our first time there and it is now a must to stay there every time we go! The people are lovely, the service is impeccable and the food is just that! It is like this little world away...

The hotel is very well located, near the bus station, the center and in front of playa negra. The place is very nice surrounded by a jarden, a swimming pool, and different rooms which are very clean, spacious and charmant. I really recommend this place in Cahuita.
