First impression of the hotel is nice, but the service and breakfast are bad! While the location is surrounded by forest it should be peaceful and quiet none of this! Barking dogs and bad curtains looks as if the lights are still on in the room! Overall bad experience, would not recommend the hotel.

What a perfect little piece of perfection! Started each day on the patio listening to the birds & the howlers & hunting for the sloth in the trees. (All before a great breakfast) Wished we had planned to stay longer!

We came to ride horses and explore an exotic place. The horses are well cared-for and a pleasure to ride, especially on the beach. The inn is beautifully landscaped and well-kept. It's home to a variety of friendly animals, which we enjoyed. The parrots came to know and talk to us. The dogs and cats were hospitable and the chickens...

Stayed 4 nights in this charming little property, although the grounds were smaller than I had envisaged. Good little swimming pool and a yoga platform that my niece enjoyed visiting. Hammock out side of room a good feature. Although I hadn't booked it we ended up staying in room 3 the superior room with fridge and TV - a blessing...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Magellan as it suited our style of travel well. The town of Cahuita is a 2-3 km. walk from the Inn which we enjoyed walking each of the five days of our stay. We began each day with a light breakfast (included) before setting off on each new adventure. The owner, Terry, and...

What a quaint and lovely boutique hotel! I came here for a yoga teacher training retreat, staying for 3 weeks. I loved the atmosphere! It felt like a true oasis apart from reality and the craziness of life. I enjoyed my stay very much!

Loved my stay at Magellan Inn. Terry, the owner, was personally involved in making sure all of my needs were taken care of. The property was absolutely beautiful and was minutes to walk to an amazing beach you could have often to yourself. The property had a great pool, outdoor yoga platform, and hammocks for every porch. The staff was...

Spent 2 nights here and was very diss appointed. The room were ok and the pool small and cold. Both breakfasts were fruit and a non description bun. No proteins of any type. Beer was available but over priced and I was charged an extra night when I booked on line. I was reimbursed when I left but was not...

Over the years I have been told by our guests that the photos on the website do not do it justice, that it is even more beautiful than they imagined. But everyone has different views in life of course. A Continental breakfast is included in the room price, which offers fresh white and whole wheat bread rolls made by an...

It was ok but I didnt think it was worth what we paid ($125 for night). Room was poorly equipped. There was a lot of empty spaces where should be fridge, maybe some utensils since we had coffee...There was coffee machine and nice coffee to it. Bed was very comfortable and large and air conditioning worked well. Bathroom was small...

The price was only $125 per night during Peak Season, Christmas and New Years, as in other hotels and this was for the room with a/c, fridge and satellite tv. If you had only a room with a/c and were only 2 people, you could not have paid $125. You might havd had a triple room, or a double room...

This hotel is small with six rooms, has a yoga studio, wildlife, the beach a few minutes away, but is a ways out of town and requires a taxi or some transportation to get into town. The staff lined us up with a driver for our two nights there to take us into town for dinner, and then into Puerto...
