This is our second time visiting Tamarindo, Costa Rica. We found this hotel thru the internet and thanks to some reviews and the price (vs others in the area) we decided to book this place. The owners run this place (he is from California). The owner and his wife helped with our needs via email prior to arrival (11 days...

Eight individual bungalows, sporadically spaced up a densely lush hill, you can't help but feel you are in your own private oasis. Beautiful view of the Pacific, walking distance to Tamarindo, and a 30 minute drive from even more beautiful beaches like Playa La Penca and Playa Conchal. Website is true to form, perhaps even less so because you truly...

We think your review hit the right tone completely. This is why we bought the hotel almost 3 years ago: It's unique for its location and amenities such as ocean views, privacy, and the jacuzzi pools, which allow a "best-of-all-worlds" experience here in Tamarindo. Thank you very much for staying with us and for taking the time to tell others.

There is no doubt about it, this place is incredible, and was our favorite place to stay in Costa Rica! Our bungalow was VERY clean, comfortable, nice furniture to relax on, the outdoor shower was fantastic, it was the most restful and comfortable sleep we had in Costa Rica! Martha and Steven went above and beyond to make our stay...

Alex, Thank you very much for your kind comments. We try to give our guests a complete experience, not just a room for the night. We are excited to see that we are succeeding. Thank you, again.

I want to start this review by saying this place is amazing! My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and were very pleased with this beautiful hotel. We were greeted by Steve and Martha who were great hosts and couldn't have been more helpful arranging everything from surf lessons to rides. The breakfast was always fresh and very...

There is not much we can add to your very nice comments, so we'll just say 'thank you' and that we truly enjoyed your stay with us. We are fortunate to be here and doing something we really love to do for and with our guests.

First of all, this place is wonderful. If you are looking for a place to stay with plenty of space and a nice view, this is a great option. Maybe a ten minute walk into the town and down to the beach. Being separated a bit from the bustle of tourists is actually a good thing, in my opinion. Steve...

Thanks, Colin. We enjoyed having you as our guest and hope to have you back. We think that you hit on the key points about Tamarindo Village - We have the best of both worlds here: We are far enough away from the noise and bustle of downtown Tamarindo to have a relaxed feeling of solitude, yet so close that...

WILL RETURN FOR SURE! We stayed here for a 6 night family retreat with our 7yo son. Steve and Martha are fantastic! This place feels very intimate with a great family-run mentality. The grounds felt very lush (unlike most of the rest of Tamarindo) despite being at the end of the dry season. We stayed in Flor Blanca and the...

Martha and I are both very grateful for your kind comments. Thank you. We particularly like your statement regarding "value" - that is exactly what we need people to consider when choosing their hotel: a room versus an experience. That's the value. We'll just let your comments say the rest. We do hope to have you back again, and your...

My wife and I stayed here just one night and I wish we could have stayed longer. I would describe the Tamarindo Village as a micro hotel with a B&B feel. Our cabana was at the top of the tiered hotel and had its own small dipping pool. A nice feature to cool off and have a few drinks while...

Thanks very much for you kind description of our hotel. We like the description you give because we want to present the feel of staying with friends in a quiet haven that is, still, close to the fun zone here in Tamarindo. We are very pleased that you agree and that you enjoyed your stay.

Spent 4 nights here & we really enjoyed our stay. The little colourful houses have aircon & everything you need. The pool is a really good temperature & I also enjoyed sitting in our own private dipping pool while reading a book. Our balcony had a beautiful view of the ocean, the sunsets were great & there were lots of...

My husband and I traveled through Costa Rica and this was my favorite spot. The owners are welcome and helpful and the rooms were great. The outdoor shower and plunge pool felt so luxurious! Breakfast each morning is served next to the pool and it definitely felt luxurious! A great way to start the day. Can't wait to go back.

Nestled in the back alleys of Tamarindo beach, this quaint yet colorful B & B served as a proper home for digital nomads needing a combination of comfort, local flavor, location, and wifi confidence. The front of the "hotel" hide behind it am array of "casitas", each with its own flavor and size. The sunsets are magnificent from the personal...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tamarindo Village Hotel is on a lush hillside and consists of 7 spacious and very private villas overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We are only 500 meters from Tamarindo's town center and similarly close to the beaches, restaurants and shops. Tamarindo Village is unique in Tamarindo: We feature private Jacuzzi-style plunge pools with ocean and jungle views at several villas; our average room size (well over 600 square feet) is double that of similarly priced hotels; Most of our rooms have large patios and gardens up to 500 square feet. Each villa has an open air shower in an extra-spacious bathroom. We also have a community swimming pool with poolside bar, and quiet and privacy guests won't find outside the highest priced hotels in our area, if even there. ... more   less
