The room is very nice and spacious - comfortable beds, warm shower and even a small kitchen with refrigerator in the room. The small balcony was inviting to relax. The location is great with the surf beach just a short walk away. The wifi connection however isn't very good. There is no signal in the rooms and just in the...

We stayed here upon our arrival in Tamarindo. Really good rooms, AC and great kitchen. However, we had a really stressful experience when we asked staff to book us a shuttle out of town. Firstly the guy who worked there was fairly unhelpful, but he confirmed the bus with us and said "see you tomorrow" and said it was all...

Thank you for your review. However, allow me to respond since you are not sharing the correct story. Upon check-in, you asked about transportation to Santa Teresa. Our staff called several shuttle companies for you to check availability, but you finally decided not to book a shuttle, as you found the shuttle too expensive. Instead you said you wanted to...

This hostel was a bit of a let down. The service was very unfriendly and surprisingly disappointing. The beds were good, as were the kitchen tools and cooking facilities. We stayed in one of the 6 person rooms. We had 3 other roommates during our stay. The bathroom smelled of urine and the toilet wasn't flushing. Major problem when there...

My gf and I stayed for a 4 night surf camp and had an amazing time. Our instructor Juan was patient and helpful both in and out of the water. All the staff were friendly and helped us to get around town, and find night life. They even helped us get to the doctor and pharmacy when we (unfortunately) had...

Really great hostel with a passion for surfing. Nice clean rooms, and with phenomenal surfing equipment. There's a nice little chill out area with hammocks. Surf instructors were great and I met met one of the owners and he was fantastic. My only comment was that the reception staff weren't the friendliest, whenever i wanted to book tours it felt...

I stayed here for a couple of nights and had a great time. Good place to meet other people. My single room also had a kitchen, as well as a bunk bed - would be good for a family or a few people traveling together. Wifi was a bit dodgy, but other than that it was exactly what I had...

My friend and I took a 5 night surf camp to learn to surf, and it was just amazing. We stayed in the dorm room, which was really roomy and comfortable as it came with warm shower and ac. We met really cool people in the hostel and it was so much fun hanging out together in the social area....

I've stayed at a number of the hostels in Tamarindo and can honestly say that Blue Trailz is the best. The place is totally safe and spotless, NO BUGS which is a rarity for the area. You're right across from the beach and a little grocery store which makes getting snacks and refreshments convenient and easy. The staff are friendly...

Overall my experience in this hostel was amazing for the following reasons: Location: Closest to the beach possible which allowed me to go check the wave condition before surfing and I could also go to the beach at night and do a bonfire or simply watch the stars. There are supermarkets conveniently in front of the hostel. The hostel doesn't...

Blue Trailz is a great hostel, next to all the action of Tamarindo and just a few steps from the gorgeous beach. The guys who run it are organised, hands-on and great with all the guests, and the staff they employ are super friendly and helpful. I had surf lessons whilst with them and my instructor (a 21-year-old kid named...
