Well maintained property, designed for privacy and comfort. The grounds are beautiful. Loved our shaded private balcony with hammock. Ample space for four to relax. Saw lizards, frogs and howler monkeys right from our deck. Only a short walk to all that Samara Beach has to offer. Would not hesitate to stay again. There is occasional noise from the highway...

I stayed for 10 nights, had a small room (bunk beds and loft bed) the first 5 nights, then to larger room with queen bed. The a/c was a lifesaver and the balcony was all teak and view of the gardens very relaxing. The pool was clean and inviting. Owners and staff friendly and accommodating. Nice little common kitchen/gathering area...

Loved my room, loved the owners, and loved having access to the communal kitchen with free coffee in the mornings. I booked a triple (3 twin beds) for roughly $25/night (with A/C!!!) and this has got to be the best deal in town. Easy walk to the beach, restaurants and super market. I will recommend to everyone I know and...

This place is a little paradise in Samara .... Very very clean, the pool is amazing, the commune kitchen also for backpackers (if you don't rent a chalet or an apartment ...), the owner built this place and didn't cut one tree ... You have a large area dedicated to yoga or to do any physical exercise ... A place...

I extended my stay the moment I saw my room. I had just stayed in a place in Santo Domingo that had me wanting to run to the pharmacy for some Prozac, but things brightened when I arrived here. Friendly staff, kitchen is lovely. Well designed rooms (my bed is like a cozy nook). Oh, and the howler monkeys are...

Great value at $20 a night for a single bedroom which has a nice size ensuite and the walk to the beach is fairly short. Swimming pool is also nice although quite small but nice change from the sea. Would definitely stay here again if going to samara

We stayed there for about 5 days and it was extreme relaxing. The staff was friendly and always helpful in planning your trips. Very calm place, we stayed in the second floor rooms. Parking space was outside the lodge, so no special safety area, but on the main road, so no big deal. Breakfast was not available, but a short...

In the range of budget hotels in Samara, Tico is no.1 for me. Only 500 metres from the beach. The lodges are situated in a well kept garden, with a pool and a well equipped kitchen with a professional barbecue. The room is clean and spacy. The bacony gives enough space to sit or rest in the hammock. Cooling capacity...

We loved staying here. Nothing was more relaxing than waking up and lounging in the hammock. From our room we could see a banana tree, papaya tree and palm trees. The exterior kitchen was well stocked and fun to use. The hotel offers several amenities including yoga, massage and a pool. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. We even had...

Very friendly and helpful staff, awesome owners!!!! The exterior kitchen is very handy, especially since Samara can be pricy. You can buy your food at a local store and make great food at the lodge! A chef was at the lodge one night and gave us great tips on how to prepare Costa Rican food...The place is very clean, inside...
