Our family had a great two weeks at this charming hotel on a hill overlooking the Bay of Samara. The grounds were well kept with a beautiful pool, and to the beach was only about a five minute walk through town. The apartment offered plenty of space for a family of four, was tastefully furnished and clean. At dawn I...

My husband and I got Married in Samara on May 19th, 2007. All in all we had 40 guests from all over the US with us in Samara. Our wedding party took over El Mirador for about a week. The owner, Max, and the staff were lovely and very accomodating. They helped in shuttling my guests around and also with...

We can only highly recommend a stay in the Mirador Hotel. The hotel is located on a hill overlooking the rocky bay of Samara and offers a breathtaking view on this tropical landscape. The staff's friendly and familiar atmosphere makes you feel comfortable. Max, the Manager, is a pleasant and interesting character who arranges and guide - if required -...

This is the most beautiful hotel in Samara. Hands Down! the views are unbelievable, the pool is spectacular, the service is friendly and familiar and the rooms are comfortable, clean, elegant and provide an enriching Costa Rican experience. Located up on the hill over looking the town, allowing for quiet nights but a minute walk into town and to the...

We have been going to the Mirador every year ever since it opened. Over the years it has just gotten better and more enjoyable. In the first few years there, the village of Samara, had dirt roads, no pharmacy, no bank, no doctors, very few restaurants, but its main asset the beautiful beach and Max's Mirador were our draw to...

My husband and I stayed at the Mirador de Samara for 2 weeks. We were well taken care of before we even arrived. The view from the balcony and the heavenly breeze make for a wonderful stay, not to mention the fruit trees that line the property and the beautiful birds that they attract. The staff were very helpful and...

Where to begin... The "Skyroom" suite would've been bearable without the stomach-turning stench of sewage, and would've been okay if the towels and bedsheets weren't stained. Very limited view, but our room was at the end, maybe the other end had better views. By the way, the website advertises a restaurant, but in reality there is none, other than the...

We just returned from an incredible two week vacation in Costa Rica. We were fortunate enough to be able to travel to many parts of the country including Samara. Although Samara is a beautiful Pacific surfing community our stay at the Mirador de Samara was extremely disappointing. Of the five hotels we stayed at in Costa Rica this hotel was...
