Very nice hotel, cosy interior and very friendly staff. They rent out surf boards, there's a restaurant and the breakfast is really nice (not included). The room is small but clean and a comfortable bed. Just a 5min walk from the beach which is awesome for some surf.

Really, you feel like you are coming home to La Marejada. Gail is incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful (if you need to book a turtle tour, for example)...not to mention being my hero for her devotion and skill as a surfer. She asked us about our stay, time, needs, etc, as she waxed her board in the courtyard. Really, I...

This is a lovely little place to stay in Playa Grande. The drinks and food were excellent. The owners were very helpful in recommending places to go and see. The only slightly negative thing I would say is that the bar/restaurant next door was a little noisy at night. I have a small child so we do go to bed...

Once again, we had a wonderful stay at La Marejada. This time we had our kids with us as it was our 2nd time visiting. This time we made sure we stayed longer. Gail & Marco showed us great hospitality and generosity. Gail is always willing to answer questions, give advice and go out of her way to make you...

Very nice small hotel for surfers, clean every day claning of the rooms, wifi, small pool, hamacks in small garden, air conditioned rooms, with small bar/restaurant. With surf lessons on site. Perfect retreat from busy life.

We travel a lot. And when we can find a place called "home", that's huge props! La Marejada staff including owner Gail/Marco, makes you feel like part of the family and part of their daily chill routine. The room was spacious, clean and bright. Despite being conservative with water for obvious reasons it was nice to take a hot shower...

Great location, clean rooms, nice little pool, lovely restaurant with delicious food, few metres from the beach and other restaurants and surf shops. Down sides...wifi, this was terrible, not ideal when you are there on Christmas Day and want to communicate with family. Can also when busy full crowded. But overall a great base. The picture uploaded is of the...

I had an amazing stay at the la marejada. Gail is amazing and can help you with anything you need. If you want a massage, i recommend asking Gail about a woman named teo (i think). She comes right to your room! The restaurant had a bunch of choices and the staff was so friendly. The sushi is a must!...

I couldn't be more pleased with my stay at La Marejada. From the moment we arrived, our host, Gail, was so friendly and helpful. She answered any questions we had, helped us book massages and activities, and found transportation for us to Tamarindo one day, and for our return to the airport (which saved us around $40 from the airport...

Our room was fresh and very clean, good bathroom, and plenty of monkeys in the trees. Just a short walk to a gorgeous beach and great hosts. Our favorite spot was the little open air restaurant with excellent food. The management discouraged the amazing blue tropical birds that would land on our table but we loved them. Very friendly place.

Thank Julie K
