We spent all of our 3 nights in Samara at Casa Valeria. Casa Valeria is set right on the beach which makes you instantly feel on holidays. The location is however the main asset. The rooms are basic on not the cleanest. Also the communal kitchen, which you have to use as there is no breakfast, is not very clean.

We stayed in one of the cabinas that opened right onto the beach, can't beat that! Our cabina was very rustic, but clean and had everything we needed. The owners are nice, the prices are reasonable, I'd come back again!

Amazing bang for your buck!! I went with 3 friends during a break in our study abroad and paid ~$100 each for 5 nights! Right on the beach (literally sand outside your door), hammocks everywhere, decent kitchen for cooking. Overall, amazing

What a great place to kick back and enjoy life. If you are looking for a luxury hotel or resort, this is not it - in fact, this is not your town; but if you are low maintenance and looking for basic accommodations right on the beach where you can walk barefoot through the sand to restaurants to Pato's Surf...

I love Casa Valeria!! there are few places one can find their own room right on the beach - to sleep as close to the crashing waves as possible - for a very, very reasonable rate! It is rustic and simple and perfect for me!! The rooms are clean and basic and the fans work well. You have to know...

This place has so much potential. Great location, probably best in Playa Samara. The rooms are low cost but they could use the slightest updates to make this place great overall. If you can't stand heat without AC definitely don't stay here, there are fans but very hot. It is good place for how cheap it is. Mostly recommend this...

Casa Valeria is so convenient, right on the beach, across the street from both a regular market and a little further is the organic market. The shower was great, our best so far in CR. There is a kitchen, and a friendly feeling. The family that runs it and lives there is busy but available. The hammocks are great. Playa...

We were disappointed upon arrival at Casa Valeria. We had received a recommendation, and had read good reviews prior to arrival. After having spent two weeks in Costa Rica, at hostels, hotels, and small inns, we we found the front desk staff person to be very unwelcoming. Mostly, he seemed indifferent, and as if our being there diverted his attention...

We had bungalow 6 right on the beach and next to the surf school, and loved it! Very simple accommodations, but what else do you need on the beach?! Alejandra and the staff were so nice and friendly. Hammocks right outside, lots of palm tree shade, and if you're lucky, Francisco will swing by and climb a tree and get...
