We stayed at Hotel Javy for two nights in January 2017. The staff are some of the friendliest people I have met in Costa Rica. Isabel makes the BEST gallo pinto (rice and beans + spices). Ezekiel was extremely helpful and made our stay very pleasant. We did not meet Javy (Javier) in person, but he was very quick to...

This is a very abordable place, the owner (Doña Francisca) spoils you like home. Rooms are great and it has secure parking. It has a nice common area where you can sit and relax reading a book. Delicious typical breakfast too.

We were a family of four adults and there was no problem accommodating us in one room for a good price. The rooms were simple with nice furnishings clean, good beds,a/c and warm good showers. There are places to sit outside and there is a place for vehicles in the gated compound. The food was excellent. We spoke English only and managed...

This is a gem of a hotel. So nice to avoid the corporate, big chain feeling and get a good CR experience right out of the gate. The taxi driver at the airport was excited to take us there. Javy obviously has a great reputation in town. The food was good, beds were nice and firm. High pressure hot water...

We hadn't planned to be in Liberia or to stay at Hotel Javy. Our flight out of San Jose got cancelled (along with all others from the airport) because of volcanic ash, and we were able to get a flight out of Liberia the next day. We rented a car and drove to Liberia, searching for a hotel along the...

Our stay at this hotel was one of the best of our trip. Dona Isabel, the owner was charming, helpful, and so generous. She let us check in early since our transportation dropped us off at 10:30 AM and greeted us with a glass of mango juice squeezed from the tree on the property. The room was spacious for Costa...

What a wonderful place to stay in Liberia, a little off from the main part of town and a little hard to find it is was worth the effort. Isabel is just as sweet as any host could be. The room are very clean and spacious, breakfast was big and we also had a great dinner there too.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Javy when we arrived in Liberia having found it with good reviews on the internet--we subsequently toured around CR for a week staying in five more hotels, when it came time to return to Liberia for our outbound flight; we chose Hotel Javy again--not because we had to but because we wanted to!...

We rode into Liberia to wait out Hurricane Otto. Isabel, the owner, welcomed us and helped us position our motorcycles in case the hurricane was bad. Isabel was kind, caring, and professional. Her son, Javier, helped us to plan an itinerary of what to see in Costa Rica. The staff was polite and professional. The room was clean, comfortable, and had...

We stayed in Hotel Javy for a few nights before making our way to Nicaragua. Found their listing on Tripadvisor and decided to try it. It was a bit pricey for what we were used to traveling in Central America ($80 US a night) but it felt safe so we tried it. Lots of foreigners. Breakfast was included; a humble...
