Everything was basic. Don't expect any luxury while you are here. We stayed here since it was close to the bus station and it worked perfectly for us. We explored the near by area to find Museo de Guanacaste and Parque Mario Canas Ruiz, both interesting places! The town stadium is also not far away.

We picked this hotel for one night as it was close to the bus station therefore very convenient. Booked through Expedia for $36 for a triple room, upon arrival the man on reception charged us $45. We realised we had been overcharged and went back with our booking confirmation, to which the man was rude and patronising, trying to tell... More

We stayed for one night. The room was pretty disgusting - the walls and floors were chipped and discolored, things that had been on the wall had been ripped off, leaving behind holes and more discoloration, and the bed squeaked and creaked horribly with the tiniest movement. No TV, no hot water, no mini-fridge, couldn't connect to WiFi, really just... More

Awesome sunset cruise. Departed approximately 1:30 from Hotel Guanacaste beach sailed on wonderful catamaran. Melissa (Cruise Director) and Michael (Sales) were excellent. The Captain and Crew did everything to ensure all enjoyed the trip. After docking, snorkeling equipment was provided and one hour of delightful below-surface viewing of tropical fishes and coral. Excellent food prepared on board along with assorted... More

I stayed here for one night. The room I had was small. There was single bed with a thin mattress, it was like sleeping on the floor. The fan which is above the doorway doesn't do much at all. The wifi works only around the lobby area. The good things about the hotel were that the staff were friendly and... More

I came here right before Halloween and only planned staying in Liberia for one night. I found the perfect place to do that here. It is a very affordable hotel to stay at for the night and would not stay here any longer than that. The hotel wasn't dirty or anything but it was extremely hot and the set up... More

Hotel Guanacaste is located near the bus station, what makes it really convenient if you are taking a bus from Liberia. It is an average hotel, basic rooms and bathrooms. The shower stopped working while I was taking a shower, so I had to go to reception and wait for around 10min for someone to come and fix it. The... More

The rooms were spacious, so clean and simply beautiful! The food was very good at the buffet and a la cartes, truly no complaints! The service was very good with a special call out to Yordy at the pool bar, so young and so good at his job, making everyone feel well taken care of, great job Yordy! Also, a... More

First off this Resort is beautiful...BUT... There were some issues as the rooms were not clean at all, bedspreads were stained and dirty and there was hair everywhere on the floor and bedding. The washroom should be the cleanest room in the house but that wasn't the case here. We had to change rooms as they had us down for... More

“Do not stay in the Jungle room as you will hear the monkeys all night if you are a light sleeper. There was three of us Adults staying in a room and we asked to have a family room which was one king bed and a double, other than that you will get a room with two double beds stuck together. Make sure your patio door is closed tight in order for the A/C to work. Ocean view is always the best!”
