The property is magnificient. There are marked trails with varying distances to enjoy. River with crocodiles! We got to see one. Sloths, Howler Monkeys, Tucans, oh my. Family style breakfast and dinner outstanding. Cabins clean and roomy. This is such an enchanted place cared for by genuinely enlightened owners.

My husband and I have visited twice. Rooms are comfy and clean. Agi and Guido are perfect hosts. The breakfasts and dinners are wonderful. I love that there is not internet in the cabanas. It is teaming with wildlife, and the hiking trails are amazing. We will be back.

We spent two nights here and had a wonderful time. Hosts Agi and Guido (expats from Switzerland) were charming and attentive. Agi picked up on our interest in birds and wild life and helped us spot the elusive sloth (golden in color!) and various monkeys, hanging around (yes) in the tree right outside our unit, and she knew where to...

We had 2 rooms and both were clean and situated so you were in a cool nature setting. The rooms had nice patios with a hammock and tables and chairs. We played cards on the patio since it was raining (nice jungle views). The rooms were spacious and we didn't use the a/c. Very nice host/owner who was very accommodating....

I enjoyed two days at this lovely farm not far from the border after exiting Nicaragua. The setting was beautiful next to the Sapoa River and the caretakers are the nicest people. We saw spider monkeys and heard the howler monkeys.Lots of birds and gorgeous gardens and with heavy hearts we had to leave because of our travel schedule. This is a...

We stayed at Finca Canas Castilla (FCC) for one night before crossing the border from Costa Rica into Nicaragua. The farm is located approximately 10-15 minutes south of the main border crossing at Penas Blancas. While it's a short ride away the farm might as well be in a different world. Set back in a glade about 5 minutes the...

Good Breakfast with home made bread. We waited to complete our one month trip before writing this review, so that we could compare...

We mainly stayed here in order to be close to the Nica border to pick our daughter up in the morning at the border. The finca is just a couple of kilometers off the Pan Am highway (partially paved, partially gravel roads) and is a relatively short drive to the border. Cabins were comfy with fridge, fans, and screened windows....

We love the kind service the owners gave us. I slept so good after a long drive there. We stay short because we had to go next morning to pick up a friend at the border with Nicaragua but from there you could visit Bahía Salinas and go hikking around. The cabins are simple but good, they all have a...
