I have a small farm in the area and while still living in the US, am always coming to the area. My favorite place to stay is Yolo Termales. The staff are very welcoming. They do not speak English but are very kind as you traple their language. The pools are delightfully warm the landscaping is very beautiful The restaurant... More

This place has three large pools of varying temperature as well as a sauna and water slide. There are shaded tables poolside for picnicking. Volcan Miravalles is within view. It's popular with ticos, but we have never found it to be very crowded. There is a restaurant on site, and several rooms for those who wish to stay overnight, but... More

Nice treatment and I recommend this for honeymoon, or family travel. The view is spectacular and the accomodation is average with then final touch of Thermals right there. The service was great and our waiter was very friendly and helpful.

Recommend to us by a passenger on the flight to Costa Rica who recently moved there. Once we mentioned it to our driver he was eager to take us. We lucked out and had the entire place to ourselves for 2 hours. Service was excellent and the local cuisine was great. To sum up my experience I would say simple,... More

We have a small hotel on the beach in Costa Rica. Even though I love our “little piece of paradise”, it is still nice to visit the wonderful mountain areas. Two times we have visited this relaxing and quiet “piece of paradise” away from the crowds. We stayed in a room with two beds. The room was clean though the... More

We just stopped in for lunch and directions....the service was great and our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Our meal was excellent, and I was impressed with their beer and wine selection. We didn't have time to explore the grounds, but the water features looked beautiful from the dining room window. A great experience all around.

This place is far into the mountains. A beautiful drive, but long. It has 4 pools, but only 2 different temperatures: very warm and hot. The image shown is the only interesting pooling architecture. The others are rectangular. There's no shade reprieve at all, so you're sitting in hot water directly under the hot sun. The rules sign prohibits the... More

We ended up here accidentally. We sat in the warm water, had a mud covering and enjoyed the view. We had dinner in the restaurant and slept in a bungalow. Nothing special just ok. It is a Costa Rican place, and we were the only foreigners.

We went to Yoko in may 2013. The place has a the best views of the Miravalles Volcano. Has really nice rooms and its a nice place with lot of space. People are nice, not that cool, but nice. Sadly fast food at the bar is TOO expensive for that quality. Also, food at the restaurant is also too expensive... More

Our family arrived early one morning specifically so the kids could enjoy the waterslide in the hot springs. After only 5 minutes at the facility with a few trips down the waterslide, we found a used condom floating in the pool where the waterslide is located. We advised management of the issue and requested that they refund us our money,... More
