If they can improve on the service and the food, this place will find it's true value in this magnificent location. The resort does not do justice to the beautiful location surrounding it. But, you are in Arenal and the food and cleanliness is not your priority- is it now?

Let me start by saying we have traveled in Costa Rica many times and have a fairly good feel for what to expect. Many negative reviews I read about at any place in Costa Rica leave me laughing as those people; similar to myself, had really no idea what to expect while here in Costa Rica. The Lost Iguana is...

Loved this place, I felt like I was in a nice intimate resort in the Jurassic time period. Always had the most wonderful view of the prehistoric Arenal Volcano from our very private balcony. Their spa is really cool as well, its has an open feeling to it and you hear nothing but tropical Costa Rican sounds that people would...

Family Dec trip Perfect family get away My wife and two boys stayed 4 nights at the Lost Iguana and had a fantastic time. The website does not do it justice and we were impressed with how large the property is and how spaced out the buildings are. We were on the steep side other reviewers mentioned and we enjoyed...

Our trip to the Lost Iguana was amazing. We felt pampered from the moment we arrived. Though it rained 3 of the 4 days we were there, the hotel and grounds are so beautiful, we didn't really mind! It is the rain forest, after all! Plus, there are umbrellas available for guest use everywhere. The only bummer was not seeing...

I booked this hotel on a recommendation from a friend for my wife's 30th birthday. What a great place! The hotel grounds are like something out of a book. Its like you are staying right in the middle of a pristine jungle with all the amenities that any great resort should have. Our room had one of the best views...
