I stayed here for one night as part of an organised group tour and the difference between the room we were given and the new rooms available was stark, old, dark and hot especially as our room didn't have a working fan! Eventually we were offered a different room for the night which was appreciated but only have great hand... More

I stayed here for 5 nights with a colleague on a buiness trip in early March 2016. I have been to Turrialba many times, but never to this hotel. It is in a rural location, about 2 km off the main Cartago to Caribbean road. The staff are friendly and obliging, and most speak good English. The main, older part... More

My husband, adult son, and I spent three nights at this hotel in the outskirts of Turrialba. We were here for a wedding, and did not spend much time at the hotel. Our spacious, immaculate ground floor room had very comfortable beds and a private patio in the rear. All that was missing was a dresser to unpack our clothing;... More

The person who showed uis the way to our room told us the do's and don'ts, especially the don'ts. The rooms are big but very basic. Just shelves to put stuff. No tv, no telephone, no fridge. The window next to the front door had no lock. The beds were fine. At dinner there was a large group and the... More

We could not fault our stay here, accommodation, food and service wre all excellent. The grounds of the lodge are beautiful and full of birdlife. It is also a good base for visiting the ruined city of Guayabo,

Beautiful property in a peaceful, quiet location. I had a room in the newer 'block' and it was bright, big, very well equiped and clean. I enjoyed being able to relax around the pool or in one of the hammocks. I was there with a group and we enjoyed the central gathering/sitting areas that were perfect for socializing. The meals...
