We chose to stay here due to its close proximity to the airport and affordable price. The room was clean but not luxurious. We checked in late and our host was incredibly friendly and accomodating! Breakfast was included. The taxi ride cost us 6000 colones one way, and 12000 the other...not sure about that... I recommend an orange airport taxi....

We chose to stay here as it was near the airport , for both our arrival and the night before we left CR. It was perfect for our needs and the staff were brilliant. The gardens are amazing with wildlife visiting all the time, and the staff are lovely people - so helpful, and recommended a great tour and booked...

Had many problems getting there because of public transport and corrupt taxi drivers but the owner was the nicest man I met in Costa Rica and did everything he could to help us including staying up late and translating to the taxi driver, he was also there early when we had to check out to go to the airport. Basic, small, clean room for a good price. Breakfast in the AM was continental and fine, but wouldn't recommend the restaurant for lunch/dinner. Conveniently located to be near the airport or the Poas region and Doka coffee plantation. Hotel staff friendly and helpful.

Great place to stopover for our first night in Costa Rica. Took advantage of the pick up from the airport. This was really helpful. Basic room but had what you needed for a decent night's sleep before moving on to see the country!

Lovely house with very nice garden and lovely staff. Some of the rooms are really nice. We had room 15 which wasn't nice at all. Small, cramped, bathroom in not a good shape. It was clean though. The breakfast included fruits, toast, butter, Marmelade, cereals and coffee.

This was the worst experience I have ever had travelling. No pillow cases...gross. Room was old, dirty as was the bathroom. Bugs crawling out of the broken grout in the shower. Scraped the rental car on the way out. The owner threatened to have me arrested at the airport because he tried to charge a cancelled room to our credit...

We arrived late in the evening after a 12-hour flight and received a nice and relaxed welcome. We got a free upgrade on the room and even though we got a lot of reservation emails in Spanish (AND IN CAPS) all our info was there and everything went smoothly. We slept like babies and after receiving a whole lot of...

The staff at Villa Pacande was so accommodating and sweet. It felt homey and safe. We stayed two nights...the night we flew into San Jose and the night before flying out. The manager was up early and we had a fruit breakfast before heading out. We will make this our regular stop in the future.

Very friendly and kind owners/stuff! We were leaving early for the airport and they made sure we had breakfast and taxi served in time. Room was ok. Place an use some attention of the handy man. Even though this is not a luxury resort, this place is a great value for the money spent!

Thank Maryana B
