We knew the reviews were good and that the place looked pretty, but we were so impressed with how gorgeous the grounds were, how nice the room was, how awesome the hot springs were and how kind the staff was. We loved how they fed the birds so you could see such a variety swing by for some food and...

My son and I recently traveled to Costa Rica before he went off to college. We planned a six day trip and Hotel El Silencio del Campo was our first lodging. I waited until the trip was completed before reviewing any of the hotels or activities. I read the reviews before booking this hotel and was very happy with our...

This was the first of several hotels we stayed at in Costa Rica. I was at first hesitant to give this a 5 /5 vs a 4/5 until we had something to compare it to such as our stay at Blue River Resort and hot spring which was a disastrous stay as that hotel is neglected and the multiple problems...

Good Value option in Arenal but a few miles outside the town as all the good hotels are. It is close enough to walk to Baldi Springs if you want this experience or next door to Royal Corin for dinner or drinks in very plush surroundings. Silencio has nice cabins in lovely gardens and also has it’s own hot springs...

Hotel El Silencio del Campo has gorgeous grounds and spacious rooms. Great for families or travelers who are looking for something nicer than a hostel or bed and breakfast, but don't want to shell out hundreds of dollars a night at one of the more upscale resorts in the area. While we noticed there were other couples staying at the...

The El Silencio has all the amenities of the the more popular and expensive places to stay around here at a reasonable price. The grounds are well manicured and quite beautiful. and there is even a hot-spring on the grounds, so you don't need to pay to go to another...although the Ecotermales hot springs are awesome. The service was the...

From the moment we pulled in, we were captivated! The staff was very warm and welcoming. Eliomar actually called us at home the day before our arrival to say they were awaiting us and asked if could make arrangements for us prior to arriving. We were traveling with our 3 teenagers and our cabin was perfect! Three large beds and...

Stayed here with my family of four (2 sons ages 10 & 12). The property of this hotel is landscaped so beautifully. I could sit for hours, just watching the birds come and go through the trees, plants and flowers here. We stayed in room 2, which had an unobstructed view of the volcano. On several occasions, the clouds over...

The hotel is actually 20 cottages in a lovely Costa-Rican garden. They have their own small thermal spa where you can bath privately (since the hotel is very small) while drinking a nice cocktail. The rooms are large, even though a bit strangely designed (the sink is in the room, outside the bathroom, even though the bathroom is huge... and...

Dear Reviewer. I want to thank this client for staying with us and for the comments made based on the recent stay at Hotel El Silencio del Campo!!! I think I must clarify two things. First, the villa that was given to this client was a handicapped room. In this villa there are no steps and the bathroom is bigger...

I didn't expect this place to be so nice when booking, I only booked it since I was looking for a reasonably priced place to spend a night. It's not luxury, but it is clean and decent and charming and unique. We had a great time and would return to stay longer next time. I loved the hot springs pool,...
