Loved this hotel, a bit tired looking, but with amazing big windows and amazing views of the volcano. Family run, care and attention was given to an amazing healthy breakfast made to order. Fruit juices were changed daily and everything freshly made. Added plus was eating all fresco surrounded by silence and nature.

Family operated business, absolutely wonderful people. Prepared great meals and made us feel like we were at home. I was traveling with a group of students (13-14 years) and they loved the place. There was enough space for them to move about, be safe, and entertained. Excellent hotel!

I loved this mid-range hotel, which is one of the best I stayed in in Costa Rica. It has an amazing view of the Arenal volcano, partly interrupted by trees, but with a big gap that enables those with first floor rooms to have a postcard perfect shot of the still-smoking volcano, which is a neat cone shape, the lower...

The owner, Selim and his family and staff make this place a 10. Selim helped us get in an extra water safari tour which was outstanding. We had a flock of toucan fly to a tree not more than 20 feet away, and evidently they come daily. And the breakfast was very authentic and the fruit smoothies were great. It...

This was one of the best hotels we ever stayed at- the keepers were very friendly and made us feel at home- there was a horse to play with and feed- the rooms were well kept- the breakfast area is beautiful- and the view from the windows of the hotel rooms overlooking arenal volcano is unbeatable. It's a bit far...

The Arenal Palace is.well out of town, but as it was part of an organised tour this didn’t prove to be a problem. Rooms overlook the Volcano if it comes out from behind clouds. It is surrounded by fields. Rooms OK, breakfast was basic but OK Wifi in vicinity of restaurant only. As a large group we would have had...

The first thing that hits you when you walk into the room is the view of the Volcano. It looks very very close. I was lucky because the day that I arrived it was clear to the top. There was only a wisp of a cloud at the very top. I took a video of white birds flying close to...

A little way out of the town, and the hotel didn't offer dinner, but there are restaurants close by. Warm welcome by the owner. Lovely rooms, very large and beautifully furnished with hand made wooden table and chair in window overlooking the volcano. Good breakfast with fresh smoothies both mornings and freshly cooked eggs. Comfortable beds. Wifi available by reception

Volcan Arenal is the star at this modest accommodation, it had the wow factor, even though we never saw it without a topping of cloud. The rooms are in an elevated position facing the mountain, so even the ground floor rooms have a view. The rooms are a good size with two double beds in each - they and the...

This place did have an amazing view of the volcano but there was a definite ant problem in the bathroom and the room had a musty smell. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful though. Breakfast was good in this country setting.
