Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

The hotel is a very nice hotel. We stayed at the two villas. There were only two villas at the whole hotel. It was a very nice hotel. The breakfast is very good. The only problem we encountered was that the air conditioning was not on when we got there. Only the bedrooms had ac. One bedroom’s ac was broken. We did get a different and smaller room. We had two villa and one superior. It got colder in the room so I slept in the one without ac. They gave free drinks. I really like the resort.

We had our own sort of small house / room which was quite nice. Great view to the volacano and Within hotel you have good hot springs so you can enjoy that. Very rich breakfast with great coffea and egg station and local food. Overall good and enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed this hotel very much. We had a large villa. It was actually too big for just 2 people, but we booked on short notice and it was all that was available. It had a big beautiful porch with rocking chairs, we loved drinking our morning coffee and looking out at the volcano. The hot springs were a nice way to relax, the grounds were well kept. The pool also had an amazing view of the volcano. Good free breakfast with variety of offerings and wonderful staff.

The grounds and views of Arenal are excellent, and the thermal pools and swimming pools are also lovely. Breakfast was excellent, and dinner was also good. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, although bathrooms are dated and in need of some upgrade.

Lovely hotel with gorgeous hot springs!!! Situated away from the main town. Lots of photo opps as the grounds are full of wildlife from Toucans to Iguanas. Our lodge had a view of the Arenal volcano which was lovely on a clear day. Good housekeeping. Coffee/tea making facilities. Food was adequate.

Beautiful gardens, mediocre food rooms are not nice at all. On arrival I found that my bathroom window had no closing mechanism at all and could be just opened from outside. Very unsettling for anyone to have an unsecured room. The maintenance crew did arrival however within 15 mins of my raising the issue with reception and drilled the window shut. Disappointing that this had not been picked up previously I understand a broken lock but a missing one is poor. Room was tired, unpleasant dark bathroom. Pool area and thermal baths are ok

Came to this resort as part of a pre booked vacation. Didn’t know what to expect, but we were pleasently surprised by the rooms (villas), nice surroundings, great hot springs pools and awesome wet bar. The restaurant is top notch, great meals. Can go to town in Uber for just $6. Will definitely come back.

Only 1 night here as part of a tour. Beautiful gardens, fantastic views of the Volcano. Room spacious with views. Bed comfy but pillows awful! Bathroom tired but adequate. Hairdryer, shampoo and conditioner. Fridge in room. Breakfast very disappointing. No toast. Dry bread and pastries and the rice and beans and sausage you get everywhere. Hot springs looked revolting. Birds and monkies in grounds.

The thermal springs at this hotel are really great, the little pools up the path are secluded and relaxing. The wildlife surrounding the lodges is really vast, we had monkeys and a sloth in the trees above our lodge! The rooms are very dark and dingy and rather tired looking. Plug sockets coming away from the walls, shower and taps quite brown and plaster coming off around the fixings. The reception staff were not very helpful, everything seemed like an effort. We arrived late a night with no concept of the size of the resort and we given a map to walk to our lodge, up hill, with luggage to the furthest corner of the resort. I asked if there was a buggy or van, which it turns out there was, but it just wasn't offered initially. I used the laundry service, I was given no receipt, but luckily I took a photo of the form, because I was given back part of someone else's laundry and I was missing some of my own items. With the location of the hotel in the heart of the rainforest, you are often wet when you come back from your days out, yet there is no drying rack in the room to hang clothes. Towels also don't get dry and the hotel only provide 2 small bath towels. Breakfast has a good spread but is inconsistent from day to day. On our first day there was an omelette station, yet the days that followed, this was not open. This hotel has potential if it just improved the customer service a little and freshened up the rooms.
