We stayed at this hotel with 3 families : 6 adults and 7 teenagers. Our room was in a building quite far away from the pool and the reception area up some steep hills. Not a big deal but if you forget something be prepared for a hike. There is a shuttle than brings you to and from buildings. The...

Nestled under a volcano on a hillside near the village of La Fortuna, this resort has it all: good food, horseback rides, spa treatments, hikes, clean and spacious rooms and a series of connecting waterfalls and pools that put geothermal water to use. When I was there in January the pools were full of people of all ages. It is...

This was a good pick! First, the grounds were immaculate! Every leaf up, not an ounce of trash anywhere. The pools were warm with water slides and hot springs. There was a bar with the most amazing mango smoothies. There are lots of zip lines too along with horses. Second, the staff was friendly, helpful, pleasant and knowledgable. They all...

I would not choose this hotel unless you have children with you. But for us it was perfect. Our 8 yrs old daughter loved it. Nice and clean. Lovely surrondings. They have 3 crocodiles, frogs, turtels, butterfly farm and an interesting anthouse. The termalpools varies in temparuture and were so clean. A minus for sunbeds. Not enough beds/chairs when the...

I would happily stay again. Plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner. The swim up bar is nice with friendly staff for a burger and cocktail. Pools are of a high standard. Wifi a small let down due to only working in reception and restaurant.

We had a great time at Los Lagos. Great views. The rooms are simple but very clean and spacious. The kids also had a great time in all the hot spring pools. The kids wished we could have stay longer. The food was a buffet style and it was really good.

I loved this place for its location and amenities. Very clean and polite staff. What could be better than waking up at the base of Arenal volcano and seeing it from your hotel room. Amazing restaurant food. Breakfast buffer was good. The rooms are out dated and have a 60s feel to it. Highly recommend it. It has water slides...

We visited los lagos a year ago on a day pass to the pools. It was the day before Easter and crowded but not too bad. We all enjoyed the pools and the grounds. The average rating comes from the Las Palmas restaurant. Last year the food here was not very good and we hoped that in a year it...

We stayed two nights as part of TUI'S Grand tour. A beautiful lodge, in the shadow of The Arenal volcano. The extensive grounds are home to abundant wildlife, and also features a butterfly house and caymens/alligators. Food is perfectly fine, and the evening meals are well priced. The shuttle buses will ferry you around, if needed, and can be ordered...
