Stayed a week here. Amazing grounds, superb rooms and leisure facilities. Massive iguanas wandering around and the variety of gorgeous birds is fantastic. They are fed next to the dining area at breakfast time. Lovely pool, jacuzzi and two smaller children's pools. There is a sauna though not sure why you would need one in this humidity! It is a...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The grounds are stunning, rooms beautiful, swimming pool relaxing, & food delicious. Watching the gorgeous birds while eating breakfast is such fun in the open air restaurant! And the iguanas will stop by for a snack too. The Butterfly Garden is filled with colorful butterflies flying around the blooming plants. Horseback riding is a...

The grounds of the hotel is very nice and peaceful. Plenty of 2'-4' tame Iguanas walking around. Rooms are in several separate small buildings of approximately 10 rooms per building. Very motelish looking. Rooms could use some upgrading. Furniture looks like old used furniture you would buy at a garage sale. Air conditioner had only high speed or off. This...

Looks a bit lonely first when you come to reception but you realize it's not when you go to the pool and restaurant area. Its a very large place. Rooms are clean, comfortable beds and nice view to a lake from each balcony. Iguanas are all over the place and VERY big. They were a great attraction for my four...

The breakfast was fantastic! We really appreciated the air conditioning, and the price of this stay. We felt that it was a great value, and we wished that we had planned for more than one night in this location since it was a good location to enjoy the many activities surrounding it. We also appreciated that this location was not...

Stayed 2 nights as part of Tauck tour around Costa Rica. Rooms were very old fashioned, dull and bathrooms basic and unappealing. Accepting it's a humid environment the pillows and bedsheets smelled damp. The restaurant, food and service staff was ok without being spectacular. The general atmosphere felt rundown and in need of major investment.

We stayed for just one night here..just passing through. Nice rooms, comfortable beds, nicely groomed grounds, great breakfast buffet, included in the price of the room. Inviting pool(s), 2 are for children and a very nice adult pool and a hot tub as well. There is a big river next to the hotel. Rainy season makes it less clear than...

It was great, beautiful and quite. Evening was spaced out enough to be loud in each of their own areas. Food was so good at the buffet that I over ate every single time. The staff was so helpful that I would tip them all the time. The room was icy cold and guys what? Yep, I loved that too.

The grounds are well maintained - lots of activities on the property (tennis, basketball, soccer, pool, jacuzzi, butterfly garden, walking paths). Very nice restaurant. Our riverside room has a nice porch with chairs where I drink my morning coffee and watch the wildlife.

The setting is wonderful: like a tropical garden filled with birds, sloths, tennis courts and a swimming pool. The staff is very attentive but unfortunately our standard room was just average with a tiny TV and dated furnishings. The fitness center is awful: no air conditioning and no screens so it's buggy and hot, four old spinning bikes, no towels,...
