Our group of 8 stayed in 3 rooms for an overnight as we visited Sarchi and Poas Volcan. We arrived just before sunset and needed to head out early, sadly. I would have loved a full day or two to enjoy the property and company. We know for next time. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The weather in the...

Fantastic, We spent one night and came back for three more. The hospitality was over the top. Every one went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was tasty and filling, the grounds were well manicured and beautiful. We will be back and tell all our friends

Villas Escondidas is a very modern, well-maintained property, and the friendly, welcoming hosts made this relaxing local just about perfect. Accompanying Abilene_Birder. We stayed an additional day and just after his early morning departure, a Blue-capped Motmot arrived; beautiful bird. Birders should also be sure to check out the lower part of the property near the stream. Mid-afternoon found several...

Members of our group of ten stayed at Villas Escondidas for up to four nights during Feb 2014. Karla was quite helpful during the period leading up to our arrival and her parents were friendly and accommodating hosts. Rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated. The tropical breakfast of fruit and pastries was more than a satisfactory start to each day....

A friend and I spent a long weekend at the Villas Escondidas after 5 days in San Jose. What a very pleasant suprise. Julio & his wife Maria and their daughter, Carla and her husband Nelson treated us as family. It was way beyond our expectations, from showing us where a restuarant was in Greecia to a tour of the...

We found this oasis strictly by accident, and what a wonderful treat this accidental finding turned out to be. Our hosts, Julio and Maria were most congenial, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and breakfast and coffee were wonderful. They were most helpful in setting on our way to adventures to the Poas Volcano, and to a sidetrip to the...

Hands down the best place that my fiance and I stayed while in Costa Rica for a week long adventure. Gated and well lit, the entire property sits on a beautiful 7+ acres of lush, green, and colorful landscape. The villas and pool are located on the top portion of a really cool piece of land that rolls down to...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Escondidas. In all we spent three nights there, two nights early in the vacation, then we had to return so spent another night just before leaving Costa Rica. Everything was great - the rooms, the pool, the property, the breakfast. But most of all - Julio and Maria are...

After 5 days of adventure vacationing, this was the perfect place to end our vacation. It's a wonderful retreat. The only problem for us was we didn't have time to stay longer. Julio and Maria are wonderful hosts. Julio's suggestions on how to spend our 2 days in the central valley were great. Fortunately for us, he was able to...
