As many others seemed to do, we booked this hotel for 1 night before our early flight out of San Jose. But this hotel deserves more than just 1 night. We which we could have stayed longer. Rooms are massive. We had a basic room. But nothing was basic about it: spacious, big terrace with fantastic views, 2 sunloungers. Coffee...

A quick detour from a business trip which meant i could escape to Costa Rica for a couple of days for a rest...2 nights in a beautiful mountainside resort complex recommended by business colleague who booked everything for me through their local office. Well-designed and somewhat garishly colourful (though unique) individual villas laid out with privacy and views over the...

This is a beautiful property. We hiked to the waterfall and felt the workout. The restaurant has an impressive view and the complimentary breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It is a place to relax in luxury. The infinity pool overlooks the city. Spend some time there.

We visited Xandari for a week stay, and had a fabulous time. All the people treated us like family, they were more than gracious hosts. The grounds are beautiful, many trails to see the lush tropical scenery. The food was always good, we ate many of our meals there. They grow a lot of their own fruits and veges, it...

Beautiful landscaped hotel. Pros: * We had our own private bungalow with terrace and pool right next door. * The rooms are clean, the bedding allergen free. * The restaurant is great. They make and grow their own food so can take allergies into account). * The walk to the waterfalls is recommended. * The views are beautiful. * The...

My room was spacious and luxurious. The views of the central valley are unparalleled. The grounds are beautiful - the waterfalls are worth the hike. It's a very green hotel, they grow most of their own fruits, veggies, and have chickens for eggs. The decor is classic Latin american. love it!!!!

I went here as part of a ladies retreat and it was perfect. I had a bad back and had a reflexology massage and it worked wonderfully. The food at the restaurant was great and the view was amazing. Highly recommend.

Whilst I had 6 hour layover, I decided to relax @ Xandari Spa. Everything was amazing there! From the nicely trimmed landscape to the beautiful restaurant over looking the countryside while beautiful butterflies & exotic birds fluttered around. However, the spa hut was the cream of the crop. I got my own private hut with a open jacuzzi which also...

The prior reviewer stole a lot of my thunder thankfully, saving me from a lot of typing! I second every one of his positive comments and agree that Xandari is an absolute treasure that should be experienced first hand. I do, however, have a couple recommendations for those visiting this beautiful resort to hopefully maximize the experience. 1. Bring binoculars........
