Ditto to all the other reviews. George was a wonderful host that had us feeling right at home on our last night in Costa Rica. The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean, and a perfect quiet nights sleep. George gave us a recommendation for food that evening and even gave us a ride to the restaurant. We had to...

George is the kindest host we have ever met. He picked us up at the airport when we arrived to Costa Rica and gave us helpful information about the country, roads...etc. on the next day when we started our 10 day vacation. His home is clean, quiet and comfortable. He made us a delicious breakfast on our first day and on...

Alegria is just minutes from SJO in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms in this at-one-time single-family home are nice. Great common areas for relaxing or watching TV. Extensive Costa Rica travel library. Highly recommended for a few day stay to visit the Alajuela area or as a place to make an airport connection. The banana bread at breakfast was delicious!

Our host, George, picked us up at the airport at midnight -- and made it seem like no trouble at all. He found us the best guide we've met in Costa Rica. He held our bags for us while we were gone, which made tricky logistics much simpler. We're having a wonderful time in Costa Rica, and it started with...

This review is way over due. I've stayed at George's place a while ago. At the time, I went with my bf who is now my hubby. George picked us up from the airport really late and was an excellent driver. In the morning, he had fresh banana bread, fruits, and drinks for us. It was only the two of...

George is a great, laid-back host! He made us feel right at home upon arriving. He went out of his way to make sure the wi-fi worked for a friend and the hot showers were the hottest in all of Costa Rica. My favorite part was waking up to fresh coffee, fritattas, juice, and plenty of fruit! Would recommend if...

We stayed here with my parents for a couple days when we first got to Costa Rica and took a day trip out to La Paz Waterfall Gardens. George is a wonderful host who cooks outstanding breakfasts (frittata, tropical fruit, banana bread, coffee, and juice, for example), suggested a great place for lunch on the way back from La Paz...

George is a great host and does everything to ensure that your stay is a comfortable one and that you are sent on your way for your next stage of your holiday. I would recommend this to anyone whose first language is english for a first night in Costa Rica after a tiring journey. Unfortunately, I was really looking for...

We stayed for three nights at Alegria on our recent trip to Costa Rica and felt very welcome there. It was lovely to come from a rather damp couple of days in La Fortuna to a place where we could not only dry off properly but really make ourselves at home. George was a perfect host, helping us out with...

George picked us up from the Airport at 9PM, settled us in by 10PM, and had us up and out the door by 6am to catch a shuttle service that he arranged for us to continue our journey to Montezuma and Cabuya. The breakfast he packed for us of fruit, banana bread (he made a special batch with no nuts...
