+ves:
People who wants spacious rooms at budget price . . . there search might ends here. Not exactly on the main road so you need to be careful to enter into the right lane at the end. Rooms are really nice with lots of space and small pantry.
-ves:
Receptionists are really lack of understanding English thus communication for Non-Chinese speaking traveler is a real challenge. Buffet break-fast is limited in variety. Not exactly on the Main Road, thus you have to walk down for Taxi or better ask Reception to call for the same.

There are four massage parlors in the adjacent lane so people who wants to relax; will have few options to explore.

LDF All Suite, being located in main street of Pudong area, it is close many attractions such as Expo, Exhibition center and Pearl Tower region.
If you want to go to the Shanghai center again its only 15 min when there is no traffic.
Also there are many bars, restaurants, spa s etc around.

The hotel consist of 3-4 different buildings connected to each other. The main building has the lobby but I've stayed in another building. These are residential buildings where people are also living long term with their own furnitures etc.

The rooms are very large and comfortable. A saloon, bath, kitchen and a large bedroom. No TV in bedroom but has a large LCD in the saloon where you can sit on a large comfortable couch. They have a refrigerator, dishwasher, laundry machine, boiler, oven.

Although it has large and comfortable rooms which is preferable for stays longer than 4 days, the hotel is lacking services and attitudes which you are used to have in 4-5 star chain hotels.

But regarding price/quaility it is a good option for Pudong

Check In:
The check in was fast, communication was a bit of a challenge but with simple words, it gets through.

Room:
The star of the stay was in fact the room, spacious and clean. more like a suite room and i can really compliment on this.

Housekeeping:
The room was well cleaned and no complain on this.

Location:
Location is a problem as there are a lot of construction going on around that area. If you are thinking of getting a cab, be prepared to wait 15 to 30 mins. Make sure you get the cab number from the front desk or risk someone jumping in without you knowing and you will have to wait longer. Just be prepared if you are going to the airport and make sure you wait the entrance and not the lobby. No one will let you know when your cab is there.

This is the third time I have stayed here, principally as the clients are very close by. If it were not for that, then I would not have found the hotel apartments, which for the price in Shanghai are competitive. The other major plus for this hotel is that it is already in the Pudong area and reasonably close to the Maglev station for the airport. The room is perfectly agreeable, but unfortunately all three that I have stayed in have some stale smell of cigarette smoke. The breakfast is good, with a reasonable selection for the western palate. The hotel is on the south side of the river and only a short'ish taxi ride from the likes of Xiantiandi, which is well worth the visit if you have time for a good western dinner.

The hotel is very new, which is evident from the moment you arrive. The bad is its location - it's in the middle of nowhere.

Leaving location aside, the Benz Coffeeshop sells decent coffee for the bean bug and English-speaking staff will run to the mainroad to hail a cab for you at any time.

We booked the smallest - Deluxe rooms, and it was the size of a standard studio. Definitely larger than the usual hotel rooms. It has an area for a 4-seat sofa with coffee table, the usual mini-bars and wardrobes, a large bathroom (with separate rain showers and tub, vanity and WC areas), decent business-use work desk, plasma TV and a kingbed. All that while still retaining a very spacious feel to the room.

The rooms are still nice and modern as it is very new. We were on holiday so we didn't try out the work gizmos - internet broadbands, faxes, business centers.

It comes with daily fresh fruits - which looks a little suspect!

However, for the price, it was definitely worth the stay. Service was good, rooms were clean, spacious and most importantly for us - bright and new.

Our room was equivalent to US70 per night inclusive taxes.

Its nice hotel in Pudong, Big Spacious room and washroom, wifi is free. Lobby is small but the front end staff is very very courteous. There is a nice pizza joint near this hotel as well as a café restaurant with great fresh meals served next to it.

I have been long time sleeping there on weekend (one year). The rooms are really big, all them same size more or less. Last time I went, they were changing some of the carpet because they were really old. Also some of the furniture needed a change.
They have superior suite, but for me they are worse. Bigger bath, and more space around, but the sofa was less comfortable, and they had no armchair. They also lack a proper wardrobe.
Breakfast is good, with western and Chinese food, but on weekends and holidays you'd better go early, because local people has very good prices here and in the buffet they are like locusts

I traveled with a friend to Shanghai for a trade show and booked accommodation at the LDF All Suites Hotel. I read a lot of mixed reviews about this place from other travelers on TripAdvisor as well as other booking sites. I was a little skeptical initially, but I thought I'd take a chance considering the great deal I got (about 400USD for a Executive Suite room booked 45 days in advance). Also, this was comparatively closer to the Expo Center with the other hotels in the price budget and also rating.

Well we finally landed at the hotel. We got a room on the 21st floor and we were extremely happy with the room quality. It was a large room with a large bathroom. The room had a Kind Bed, a Seating Area, a balcony with a superb view from the 21st floor. I must make specific mention about the carpet and furnishings as I see other travelers have rated poor on this front. I presume they are restoring the rooms and furnishings and we got a room with a very clean carpet and the interiors and furnishings looked new and recently done up. The bathroom was huge and had a bath tub and a shower area.

The hotel is located in a place where there is no activity after sunset, like shopping malls, entertainment etc. However there is Sports Bar and KTV right below the hotel and we really enjoyed a quiet evening over beer at the bar. There are also a few massage centers just next to the hotel and they look upscale and classy. If you are looking for a fun evening and would like to be in the midst of some action, I think you could take a 15 mins taxi ride to Nanjing Road which I believe is about 7 Kms from LDF. The hotel is quite far from the Airport (about 40 Kms) and the Shanghai South Railway Station is about 22 Kms.

We did not try the breakfast or order any food at the hotel, so cant really comment on the food part. There is a street food joint run by a couple. They setup the joint every evening and we really relished the food there. If you stay at LDF, and if you are on a budget and need alternate options, or would just want to try local cuisine, I recommend you try this place out.. you will find them just outside the hotel on the road side after sunset.

Finally, the hotel staff were friendly and willing to help. Some of them were able to communicate in decent English as well.

Overall a luxurious stay and we had sound sleep all the three nights we stayed at the hotel. I would definitely stay again the next time I visit Shanghai.

If there's one thing I detest in "Chinese" hotels, as opposed to international hotels in China, it's the miserable state of their carpets. LDF has the potential to attract with huge suites with good facilities. However, what on earth do their guests do with the carpets, and why doesn't the company replace those that are stained and rucked up in good time - at least the complimentary slippers help! Otherwise this was a convenient location for a business visit at a reasonable cost and a short taxi drive to the modern Pudong high risers and another world. The staff pretty much ignored this guest, and two attempts at the desk to ask for advice was met by blank looks! Breakfast is "Chinese" and does not leave much choice for westerners staying for more than a day or two! In short, OK, but there are better alternatives to be found on Tripadvisor!

Hotel is located about 15 minute walk from Pu Dong Metro Station, line 4, Take the Pudong Ave Exit, turn to your right as you leave the station and keep walking. Check-in was fast, staff not overly friendly. The apartments consist of 4 towers, I was staying in number 4. A bellman had to show me how to get there. Electronic key cards open and close all doors. Apartment was nice, kitchen, bath, living room and bedroom, I was fairly high up and had a good view. Hardwood floors throughout the apartment. Slippers and robe are supplied. Plenty of hot water. A very quiet building, but you can here the traffic below, especially all the honking of horns by automobile dirvers. There is a nice little coffee shop located outside at the entrance to the hotel, highly recommended Izzo Cafe, nice breakfast they also serve lunch and diner, friendly staff the owner speaks English and is extremely friendly and helpful.
