Direct subway line (#10) from Hongqiu Airport Subway exit (#3) right across the street ! Some ppl complain about the long staircase from subway level to ground without escalator... well, take another exit ! ! ! Exit #1 is maybe 100M away from hotel. Take that one if u prefer an escalator ! Right next to Yuyuan 10 mins walk...

Stayed in the Executive Lounge levels and was completely worth it. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly and assisted with any and every need. The room had an amazing view, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The food/drinks at the Executive Lounge, if you plan to be around the hotel, are worth the price. The selection isn't too...

We had a great stay at the Renaissance Shanghai Yu Gardens! The view from the lobby was spectacular, the location was fantastic and close to a metro station, the staff was very friendly and spoke great English. We were greeted by the doorman who offered to take our luggage to the lobby, which is not on the 1st floor. Check...

This is a nice hotel with a great location, the rooms are very sparsely decorated which I assume was intentional. They have the essentials but when you first walk in itdoes lack some charm and character. The Wi-Fi is pathetic. Apart from those comments I would say it's a nice hotel at an acceptable price in a great location.

A lot of shopping and restaurants within a couple of blocks around the hotel, and great food in the hotel. Upper floors have a great view of the city and the river. The Club option was worth it, light meals available in a spectacular lounge overlooking Yu Garden market. Metro 3 blocks away, the river is less than 1/2 a...

The hotel is located in the busiest area in Shanghai: Yu Garden. Subway station is just right across the road. Very good view from the indoor swimming pool at the top. Restaurant is good but very busy in the morning, breakfast and lunch are all good. Staff speak good English.

Located between the Bund and Peoples Square. Yu Gardens are few minutes away, and there is a Metro station across the street. A lot of shops and restaurants nearby. If you need a local SIM card, you can find a China Mobile branch, 3min walk along the Main Street. As for the Hotel facilities, room size is average, nice amenities,...

What a gem! Nice rooms with views, comfy bed and pillows. Great breakfast buffet. You won't be disappointed staying here. Close to shopping, markets and the Bund. Friendly, courteous staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, has views of the PUDONG towers and overall near yuyuan gardens for tourists. If you are a platinum member, the snacks they don't skimp out on and the breakfast is legitimately the best I've had in Shanghai, it is more about quality then quantity. The pool is small, but does the job, like all hotels after a few...

Fantastic location! You will easily save money you would have spent on transportation anyway, especially because the MRT shuts down at 10:30pm (yes really!) and taxis then charge a late hour premium.  Easy access to MRT Line 10 to go anywhere fast, cheap and on time if you can stand the crowds (3 day unlimited pass for $45RMB/$7US). Also, the...

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
