Well I've finally found it. Probably the worst hotel in Shanghai that advertises itself as a 4-5 star place. They are trying to be like a boutique hotel like the ones you find in NYC (Algonquin comes to mind) but they fail miserably. The staff is Norbert courteous or helpful. Breakfast was bland and in two separate rooms which does...

It is located right at Ji'an temple station and you can literally have a close access to everything. I don't even have to leave the building for a great massage and cup of coffee. The breakfast is not too bad with a lot of selection and brewed coffee. Staff are friendly and helpful. The gym is too small with only...

So, took my girlfriend here to propose. They helped me out with a concierge putting flowers and wine in the room while we were at dinner. Pretty damn impressed with the overall experience, cheers for the help.

This is great hotel for the budget below 1000 RMB per night. The location is excellent, just 30 meters from Jing'an Temple metro station. This metro can connect you to People's Square metro, within 10 minutes or the Oriental Tower or Bund within 12 minutes. Really the best place to stay, if you want to use the metro line. Hotel...

Have stayed in this hotel several times over the years since it first opened. The breakfast was as good as ever. However the room is showing signs of wear with stained carpet & sofa.. The room has no luggage racks despite has lots of space for it. Despite close to subway & airport shuttle, one has to cross a pedestrian...

Hotel is very well located near the Temple Metro Stations, Shopping Centers and Restaurants. Rooms are OK, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was varied and satisfying. Bellboys were very helpful every time we needed a Taxi, as nowadays they are very scarce in Shanghai.

Found the facility pretty organized, but price on a high end. The restaurant has quite a lot of options for breakfast. Location is great, as my work was just on the other side of the road. My room also had a great view of the Jing'An Temple. Anyone willing for shopping would also have access to brand shops, with handful...

The room is very spacious but it is smelly in the sense that whenever we come back to the room, there is a heavy smell of smoke as if there are a few persons smoking in the room for a period of time. Location is otherwise good. Service is generally good as well.

Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
