Exactly what you need during business trip; comfort, clean rooms, good breakfast. Windows can open, which is nice as the AC was still not cooling so it got a bit warm. They brought a fan for cooling, which was amazingly quiet.
I stayed in this hotel with my family during Chinese New Year 2021. Everything was perfect without any disturbance, Staff were very helpful and Breakfast was very delicious. Room was very cleaned with wonderful city view.
Irish bar within 10 minute walk from hotel, if you’re British and there is an old firm game on when you’re in Shanghai then this is your go to bar. Taxi to airport is cheap, don’t mess about getting subway with a suitcase.
Everything was cozy, nice hotel to stay when you have small children, the hotel was classy outside like manhattan type of hotels, the interiors were nice ang high end, the best deal is it was nearby tourist site, nanjing lu, shopping centers and the bund, huangpu river, I highly recommend this hotel to Families with Small Children, Very Nice Hotel!!!!
This is a good hotel if it’s your first time in Shanghai. It’s close to all the major hot spots and a short walk to the metro. The rooms are clean and the staff speak English well. You’ll be opposite People’s Park which is a stunning morning walk with a coffee! However, I was a disappointed. I booked 1 room for 2 people including breakfast and on our 4th day we got stopped and told the breakfast is only for one person. The excuse? Due to their untrained and inexperienced staff (their words, not mine) who didn’t know the rules we got lucky and let through unknowingly but we must pay extra for the other person now. The check-in counter staff didn’t pick up anything unusual when we arrived, why would one person want breakfast? They handed us our key on our first day and told us we have breakfast without making sure. It made us feel very unwelcome and after paying a lot of money to stay there for 5 nights it doesn’t leave a good impression being made to feel like you did something wrong. I think that kind of excuse explains a lot about their customer service. As an expat living here, I would suggest that tourists be careful about being messed around with small details like that when booking online and at check-in. Also, don’t eat at the hotel cafe or restaurants unless you want to pay 99 RMB for a 500ml bottle of water when you can get one for 6 RMB across the road at the local FamilyMart convenience store. Don’t waste your money, this is an expensive city to be in! All in all, I would return for the location convenience but not much else. …
