If you're planning to stay here because you think the hotel is on the Bund you're badly mistaken. It's a 1.6km walk in a straight line down Guangdong Rd. A/c works well, firm beds, small but workable gym. No pool. Staff varied from disrespectful at breakfast to really helpful staff at the front door.

Hotel is located few minutes walk from Nanjing walking street. my room was big, but few things I did not like about the hotel: elevators are too slow breakfast in a big noisy room at 22:30 I called to order room service, was told they finished working for the day. I explained that in the brochure in my room it...

I have a wonderful experience stayed for 2 nights at The Bund and 2 different rooms. The room setup and decorative is superb. Great experience to see high rise building in front of the Huangpu river. Superb view during taken breakfast and gym, facing the ship and boat at Huangpu river. This hotel delivers quality accommodation at a reasonable price....

It is a Chinese Hotel. Price is right. Location is great, walking distance to many local interests. Smoking floor exists but not sure why we did not get it. We got no smoking room but we can smell smoke on the floor. Breakfast is decent. Same food essentially everyday.

The Bund Hotel is a great hotel in walking distance of the historic Bund area of Shanghai. The room was very clean and comes with bathrobes and slippers. There is a mini bar with snacks and drinks and a refrigerator with juice and water. The TV has many stations in English. There's free WiFi in the room and throughout the...

You hear all these praises about the Bund as the Hip area in Shanghai and then you find a hotel in the Bund called the Bund, and it seems a no brainer to stay there. well think twice. this hotel is out-dated, has small and ugly rooms, the worst breakfast in town and mediocre service`

The hotel is ok, the food is average, the location is very good. The worst thing of all was the staff, we spent hours to convince them to move us to a non-smoking room (apparently if you don't specify it in China you get a smoking room by default) and to change a reserved dinner from one night to the...

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
