4 star hotel, but it can easily stand 5 stat level. Big rooms, VERY convenient bed, clean. Iron in each room. Everything needed is there. Very good breakfast. Metro station is just 5 minutes walking from the hotel. Huge number of restaurants around the hotel, so no need to travel far to have a good dinner. I would love to...

This hotel has everything you need. The rooms are a good size with lots of storage, an iron and ironing board safe, umbrella you name it. It's clean and the staff are charming. The location is great. If there is one complaint it is that the staff do not have enough information on Shanghai that they are able to share.

We stayed here for 3 nights prior to our cruise with my daughter who lives in Shanghai all females. Booked an equatorial room with breakfast included. Rooms were lovely recently updated they told us, comfy larger than average single beds. Wide selection of items for breakfast including bacon, eggs and Heinz beans ( sorry but had to mention it). Unfortunately I...

I stayed here for a week in April 2017 and was pleasantly surprised. Rooms were nice, the Clubhouse on the 27th floor was super useful for getting work done with colleagues, location and facilities were good (not far from some nice restos and bars in the Fmr French Concession) Only criticisms would be that I was repeatedly asked if 'I'd...

This might be my new favorite hotel in Shanghai - it is affordable and the location is unsurpassed. Literally walk over a walkway and you are at the Jing'an Temple! I upgraded to a newer room when I got there and it was fabulous - lots of space, heated toilet seat (totally unnecessary) and the bed was to die for!...

Overall my review is 3+ Location is good and a small park and various bars are within walking distance. The room ws tired and astonishingly small. I kept wondering if I had stayed at a hotel in Japan. Breakfast had fewer choices than other high end hotels and the food quality was not impressive.

The room was comfortable, clean and well-maintained. The air conditioning hadn't been turned on, but we were able to open windows, and were able to ignore the 24/7 subway construction work in progress next door. The breakfast buffet was adequate and the staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel is within walking distance of shops, eateries and tourist attractions.

Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
Jing'an
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
