From Century Avenue station on the Shanghai Metro, it's a five- or six-minute walk from the mall's exit, passing through the mall.

It is convenient in terms of location and has a reasonable price compared to surrounding hotels,
The rooms were spacious, clean and well-equipped, making for a satisfying stay.

A great business hotel. I've stayed there regularly for past two years, and much cheaper then the overated Purple Mountain on the same square. The receptionists need a bit of training, otherwise a fairly polite Chinese Hotel. The standards and size of rooms are 10/10, large beds, bathrooms, near enough a suite. The only thing wrong with the hotel is the room service, but if you're eating out all the time, should not really be a problem. It's not a Sheraton or Hilton, but the rooms are of a higher standard.

This hotel is average but the price is reasonable for Shanghai and most importantly the location is ideal if you need to be in Pudong area. Don't expect a particularly good service or room, select this hotel based on your budget and the area you need to visit in Shanghai.

I stayed here for one night. The room was so basic for what I was paying for it. No view, wifi was horrendous, and the room was so cold. I was supposed to pay 400 RMB but I got charged 1100 RMB for the deposit and room. Its been more than one week and my deposit (700 RMB) has not been returned. Management cannot be reached at all because I am in a different country and they do not respond to emails. Save the hassle, go to another hotel.

Stayed two nights at this hotel on my first visit to Shanghai. Located in the business area, this is a comfortable hotel with efficient and friendly staff. Few of the staff speak English which was very helpful. Sumptuous breakfast with a wide range of food but a little pricy.

The location is great with access to public transport. There are plenty of great restaurants for local food around the hotel. There is a Burger King just opposite the hotel which is just very convenient.

I stayed here for 4 nights, the rooms are very spacious, and well fitted out.

I should have booked a room on the non-smoking floors as there were none available when I got there, however, the staff were very helpful and I was moved to a non-smoking room the following morning.

The location is great with a huge choice of restaurants just over the road and it is only a few minutes walk to the subway.

Breakfast is ok with a good selection.

The concierge was very helpful organising taxis, etc.

A great business hotel.

Clean hotel, close to Century Avenue subway station, with multiple lines ( direct to railway station, close to downtown (Nanjing Lu), 5 stops from my work in the technology park area). For me this is a good combination. Value for money with a lot of transport ( subway) connections. Near the hotel a big shopping hall with restaurants, but also local restaurants in the area behind the hotel, incl the haidilao hotpot restaurant. Hotel is not crowded.

This was my second visit to Shanghai and I preferred to stay at the Boaon again.
The experience this time also was as good as the last time.
Getting to the hotel was easier than last time. One can take the MAGLEV and then the METRO line 2 which goes very close to the hotel. From the METRO station, it is a very short walk to the hotel.
The staff are still friendly and helpful, even though language is an issue. The hotel is well kept and the rooms are spacious enough. Free Wi-Fi is available only in the hotel lobby. The restaurant has been renovated and now is much better. Breakfast was a part of the package and the food variety was good, even for vegetarians.
Taxis are easily available from the hotel and many places are at walking distances, so it is convenient to stay here. The view is not very great, since there are taller buildings all around.
Very ideal for a short business stay.

It is hard to fault the Baoan, service is first class, rooms are spacious and well equiped, and very clean. It gets very quiet afte 22.00, maybe too quiet. There is no bar avaiable after this time, and the same can be aid for the surrounding area, everything closes down early. This is fine if you are on business, not so good if you are a tourist.

I needed a late checkout, and they were very accommodating, I was able to keep my ro room until 16.00 at no extra charge.
