I was booked into this hotel by a client. Otherwise would not have found it as it is not in a main hotel area of Shanghai. Its old, but I did have a pleasant stay. It is next to the Shanghai Botanical gardens which can be accessed directly from the compound which makes a pleasant change from the usual noise... More

Great hotel and excellent customer service. I would just advise that the facilities are old and out dated. I would not recommend in going if you like a spa and hair salon in the hotel. I would say that this is a standard 3 star for the most part. The breakfast is not good. It is like a American international... More

Take taxi from pudong airport to the hotel around 45 minutes and RMB140. Actually, the hongiao airport is more close to the hotel. Hotel room is clean. I book the hotel with breakfast, and the breakfast is good. Free Wifi.

The service was pleasant, especially the young lads in the cafe, but the location is awful. the hotel is off the beaten track. in good traffic it takes 30 mins to get to any of the city sights and much longer during rush hour. There is one cafe nearby but otherwise this is a residential area. The grounds are quite... More

I first visited this hotel in 2007 and had good memories of the hotel and its environment. In 2014, everything is even better. This hotel is a bit far out of the center of town, but located right next to the Botanic Gardens, which in the last eight years have gone from 'mediocre' to must see. From walking in the... More

If you happen to have work somewhere in the area its a good hotel to stay at. The rooms are clean and hotel staff is helpful but the hotel isn't really near anything at all so if you are going to visit Shanghai better stay closer to the city. As a bonus you can also go into the park behind... More

We stayed here on a recent trip and enjoyed the quiet this hotel offered. It was relatively close to the airport (about 1 hour by taxi) and close to the Shanghai South Railway Station (about 10 minutes by taxi). - The hotel is next door to the Botanical Gardens, there are trees and birds everywhere, loads of greenery, and an...
