It's my first time to experience the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Mandarin Oriental Pudong SH makes me feel great. Every detail of the hotel and the room that I settle in is good enough. By the way, the staff of the Mandarin Oriental Pudong who serves me when I check in last evening names Rayni Han. She is fantastic, pretty, politely, carefully, warm-hearted and so beautiful. 孕期入住,因为大宝想游泳,文华的泳池不错,游完泳带着大宝在文华厨房吃个晚饭。孕期一个人还带着孩子,我去哪里都约束孩子,小心谨慎,降低存在感,不给别人添麻烦,也不给自己添麻烦。就这样,被文华厨房服务员(经理?)“张洋(Zhang Yang)”气得不轻,无任何服务,歧视孕妇歧视女性,满满的恶意和低素质,真不知道这样的人如何在服务业立足的!由于此人还是经理,事后MO的处理非常让人失望,多方投诉无任何实质性结果。而我的诉求仅仅是了解酒店方针对此事件的后续处理。None. They have every "responsibilities and obligations" to protect their employee. Not the customers. They are afraid of hurting their employee's privacy and confidentiality.Not the customers. All I want was just a feedback. But noooooo. 看到我的评价不要觉得品牌不错位置不错景色不错,这种糟糕的服务只是个案,自己去住肯定碰不到的,虽然我曾经也是这样想的。任何品牌都会沉没,这次来住感觉这里已经在下沉了,反正我不会再侥幸了,更何况周边还有那么多选择。
I stayed at the MO Shanghai for an extended period in 2015. When work called me be back to Shanghai, MO Shanghai was my first call. The property location is perfect. Close enough to downtown but tucked away and adjacent to the Huangpu River. You can take advantage of the river walk for exercise or relaxation. Malls and stores are within walking distance but not seen from the hotel. Though it is a large property it has the feel of a unique boutique hotel. The hotel is so well maintained. It look exactly as I remember from 5 years prior. Nothing had aged or felt worn down. Everything had a fresh, new and unique feel. Stunning architecture with soft touches that make for a tranquil environment. As a Fan Of MO I received an upgrade upon check in to the Mandarin River View Room. To say the room was perfection is an understatement. Spacious with great attention to detail. The bed and bedding made for blissful sleep. I traveled during COVID so we came from a 14 day government quarantine hotel. The staff arranged our pick up and brought two weary travels to the property. They also went above and beyond helping myself and my colleague get Green Code Apps to work for both Shanghai and Beijing. It was no easy feat. It took 4 hours over the span of two days They did it a smile. They also arrange for our week 3 COVID test. Without asking they had a hotel representative wait in line and do all paperwork. We were called down, drove to the testing site, got the test and came back to the property. Total time 15 minutes. Unheard of service! They are also arranging to get us to the station and on the train to Beijing. Similarly, a representative is going ahead of us to work out the details and overcome any challenges. There is nothing more the hotel could have done to make our stay any better. A special thank you to Kent, Elaine and Samuel I must come back to Shanghai in two months and when I do my first call will be to the Mandarin Oriental Shanghai.…
Due to pandemic, we decided to book a night with access to club lounge at MO to celebrate our 1st year anniversary. The experience was truly amazing, a home stay away from home. We didn’t leave the hotel premises for the entire time, even though the track along the river looks very nice to take a stroll. The hotel did not only gave us an upgraded room with spectacular views, but also, provided many nice surprises e.g. chocolates and rose decoration as well as a specially made cake for our special celebration. The bed is very comfortable to sleep in, bath tube was spacious, and the air conditioning is great comparing to many other 5-stars who often claim that they can only provide heating and no cooling during winter time. Specially thanks to Sherry from club lounge for making our stay exceptional from check in to check out. Food at both lounge and restaurant are great with good variety. We in particular enjoyed chilling at the club lounge trying different snacks, nibbles in between meals. Indoor swimming pool facility is also great, the water temp was set at 28degree, which is very comfortable, the only downside was one of the guests was on speaker phone talking loudly inside the locker room the whole time without respecting other guests, but it gets nothing to do with the hotel. We are definitely going back again soon and will highly recommend this experience to all other friends. Thank again for the fantastic hospitality! …
It is an excellent hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, staffs immediately came and helped us to arrange our luggage. Check-in was smooth. Room is spacious, clean and nice. Service is great. Hotel provides free shuttle to the metro or any places within 2km from the hotel. The river view is absolutely stunning. All the staffs in this hotel, especially, Joy (at the lobby) are very passionate, helpful with high efficiency. buffet breakfast was so-so when compared to other MO. Choices aren’t so many.
