The hotel experience this time is very happy, I ate a lot of good things, and the service of the lobby staff is 10 minutes attentive, and 10 minutes attentive. My husband and I spent our wedding anniversary at the Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund. When the GM, Bechara Sader, found out that we were going to do a staycation at the Banyan Tree to celebrate our wedding anniversary, his staff and himself went over and beyond to make our stay special. Robin Lu, the Senior Brand Ambassador handed me bouquet of roses as soon as I arrive. We had 2 family photos in frames in the room ( I don’t know where they got them from but so resourceful) , rose petals all over room, chocolates, champagne etc. The attention to detail was superb. Made the room super duper romantic. Plus of course, as we were staying at the Bund Oasis with a romantic pool, you can imagine how extra romantic that day/night was for us. We would like to thank Bechara Sedara, Robin Lu and the rest of the staff at the Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund for helping us make our wedding anniversary celebration a memorable one. We will surely come back soon!

You feel welcomed since you walk in, as the staff is ready to guide you where you may need, so you do not have to wonder how the place is arranged and where to go.
The breakfast food and service is a pleasant and relaxing experience. Food is fresh and tasty, inviting to take it easy and enjoy a good conversation or mindful eating...
The service in the SPA was great. There was nothing but relaxed smiles after the massage (Thanks to Sandy and her team!)
Gym is spacious and well equipped, pool area is excellent to wind down and progressively relax, as you move through the pools of different temperatures :)
The view from rooftop bar is stunning! Even as part of the day was rainy, it cleared up in the evening for very nice shots.
It is definitely the best place for a treat!

We got quite a full service from this hotel just last week, starting with the room suites, we were given a room facing an excellent view - makes you forget about busy Shanghai. The room is just fantastic, it exceeded any 5 star hotel expectations we had, the clean design, the furnitures, the details is amazing.
We had a wonderful time in the pool and mini spa pool, followed by a real authentic thai massage, (thai masseuse), she's excellent! I cannot ask for more.

The room and the facilities are just perfect and very well maintain. its extremely clean and you feel like this hotel really took extra measure against the pandemic. the view is superb from the roof top bar where if the weather is clear you will have a memorable time. I truly love this hotel and I stayed there for a staycation since i am leaving couple minute away, I felt like a spa week end , since they are one of the best spa facility for hotel in the hub . I wish they also allow pet like W, so i could let my poodle enjoy the 5 star service with me, just a recommendation . hooo also the breakfast is very well arrange and let you enjoy fresh food made a la minute. see you soon for more relaxing massage.

very pleasant experience. good service, nice location, great view from the rom, qualified spa product. the breakfast buffet is cancelled due to coronavirus issue but we still enjoyed the local and occidental breakfast menu. Very pleasant experience.

This was our first real holiday in 2019 and I have to say, it was very enjoyable. The staff are kind and attentive. The room is spacious and functional. The Banyan Tree also has an excellent rooftop bar where you can meet friends and take in the impressive sight of the excellent bund. I was very happy with the hotel and the service that we received. They even provide you with cards with Chinese / English translation for destinations which you want to go to in Shanghai, to give to Taxi drivers. This is a great idea, although it would be helpful if they produced these cards in a bigger size, as some taxi drivers could not read the content clearly due to the small font. We will definitely go back again in 2020!

Spent here 3 nights with my wife and two children. Great treat and service since the first Day. The views from our room were more than amazing, also from the Rooftop where you can see both Pudong and Puxi with exceptional panoramic angle. Location is also more than recommended for families as it’s super quiet and away from stressfull Shanghai. Can’t wait to come back again and enjoy their SPA and Massages. We been to lots of hotels in Shanghai but when it's comes to Romantic and Relaxing hôtel nothing can compare to Banyan Tree Shanghai, I do highly recommend each person to take their Oases Rooms as they do have mini pool in the room that make it super special compère to other hotel, the service was top notch specially the breakfast looked clean cut with great food presentation, Amuse bouche and pass around.
Will definitely comes back to enjoy their roof top when the weather is warmer.
I don't recommend you to stay on the lower floors as the view not as good as our room.
