Up to RC standards. Excellent everything. The acrobat show in the Shanghai Centre IN THE HOTEL ITSELF is truly fabulous. We stayed on the 18th floor with a great view of the expo center. Shanghai is the most western of all Chinese cities we've been to. Now on our way to Hong Kong.

Stayed Club level for 3 days. Hotel is part of large Shanghai Center that has lots of high end shops, some restaurants and one of the acrobatic show pavillions. Staff in Club were excellent, as always. The food selection was be considered very good and extensive in comparison to most U.S. Club levels, but was limited from what I've experienced...

Great hotel and what you would expect from the Ritz. Very clean, comfortable and easy stay. Lots of convenient extras within easy reach make it an excellent choice. The dumpling restaurant just next door on the ground floor is excellent - try the chicken and truffle dumplings and the pork chili wontons. To get rid of travel tension and knots,...

very good Hotel within a nice location. You feel the difference already at the check-in: free coffee and muffins. The rooms are very nice and most important: quiet This time, I didn`t use the gym and I also had a long sleep, so we missed the breakfast. But we had the Sunday Brunch, which is always great. For 600 RMB...

I stayed there in February 2012 for 4 nights, during a business trip in Asia (Singapore and Shanghai) and I loved this hotel, which is ideally located on Nanjing road. Reception and Concierge staff was extremely helpful and efficient throughout the stay. I was given a bedroom located on the 33rd floor overlooking the south side of the city. The...

An excellent hotel,on all counts. We travelled with 3 children, aged 10,8 and 4. Staff were fantastic. Our accommodation was a 2 bedroom interleading suite, on the 41st floor. Room was comfortable and luxurious and enormous. All the staff, from the manager down, met with us, knew us by name and could not do enough for us. There are great...

I traveled with 2 girl friends to Shanghai for a weekend so we decided to stay in 1 room together (with the cheapest room type). We noted in the reservation we have 3 people, and requested a roll-away bed with 2 double beds. There was no extra charge to this. Upon check-in, we found the roll-away bed in the room...

The hotel is brilliantly situated and rooms and facilities are excellent. However, wherever you go in this hotel, you need at least a sweater, as the air conditioning must be set at arctic temperature. Apart from that, rooms are very good indeed. Only other quibble with this hotel is, some of the staff in "Tables Restaurant" seem to have had...

Staying in Jing'an

Neighbourhood Profile
The heart of this neighborhood is the Jing'an Temple, while the main artery of excitement and entertainment is West Nanjing Road. Close to the Former French Concession, the area has a similar draw for foreign residents but displays a more commercial character. Large, flashy malls, luxe residential high-rises and trendy nightlife areas can be found along West Nanjing Road, but areas off the busy street have the same quiet cafes and independent boutiques that many people think of as distinctive of the Former French Concession. Jing'an is less encased in amber, though, and it's possible to immerse yourself more fully in the energy of China's most bustling metropolis here.
