The executive lounge has delicious breakfast food. Croissants are delicious and many types of fruits. Service is excellent. Rooms are clean. Check in and checkout were very good. They do their best to accommodate all your requests. You can also buy train tickets in the lobby.

This hotel is located centrally close to the main shopping areas and other tourist and business sectors. The rooms were well maintained and of high quality. I upgraded to the executive package which was well worth the small extra cost, this included breakfast and day round food and drinks with excellent area for meeting friends and doing business. The staff...

Great location to food and shopping, walking distance to the Bund. Room is immaculate and bathroom is clean. Checkout can be improved as I had to ask concierge to request additional staff, especially for those catching a morning flight.

Staff was very attentive and went above and beyond. They really made you feel special and in my opinion one of the best Marriott experiences (I've stayed at a lot of Marriott hotels, enough to earn lifetime gold status). The location of the hotel was perfect, about a block from the main pedestrian Nanjing road. It was next to people's...

Seems like a good safe base to explore shanghai, restaurant is expensive but loads of places to eat nearby. I walked a couple of blocks to...

Hotel location is great. City center, walking distance to Nanjing road and other nearby malls. Many hotels share the same location in the area and ate equally good. What made this hotel special was the family suite provided at a reasonable price. Large spacious new well-maintained room.. good choice, however room didn't enjoy an unrestricted view even being on the...

This was my second stay at the Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre. The room was clean and very functional. Electric outlets were such that a converter wasn't necessary. The hotel staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English (thank goodness!). My room rate included the breakfast buffet. The breakfast spread was wonderful. Huge selection of American and Traditional Chinese options....

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
