I stayed here for a night, got a double room on the 3rd floor. The lifts were playing up, so ended up having to take the service staircase, which was covered in piles of dirty sheets, on arriving in the corridor to my room I had to pick my way through another huge pile of dirty sheets (this was at... the best of this place are the breakfast and location. 5 minutes walk from people's square, 24hrs market 1 minute walk, near metro station, safe and good place at night. Was clean enough, service was good, front desk will be better speaking more english... almost cero english, but they will do their best to communicate with you. At our arrival... More

We stayed in this hotel for five nights and found it to be the perfect place to be based for visiting Shanghai. It is a short walk to People's Square, close to the Metro and close to good restaurants. The hotel however is poorly cleaned, poorly run and needs refurbishment but the price reflects the standard. A short stay would... More

We stayed for only one night pre-cruise. We were concerned by some of the previous reviews but found the hotel to be very good. We had no problems with cards under the door etc as previous reviewers had mentioned. Our room was spacious with a good view of the river. The room was clean with a comfortable queen bed. There... I recommend this hotel for several reasons, very good price for the value, good location, clean room, nice staff at the front desk and also helpful with the luggage, queen beds, good air condition and hotel views.

This hotel is situated in a back lane and is a little hard to find. Do yourself a favour and get a copy of the directions in Chinese. The staff on the desk have limited English and to be honest I think they would rather not have to deal with non - Chinese speaking guests. The one shining light was... More

Booked a superior queen bed. The room is clean, modern and fairly spacious with a separate small area for the desk away from the bed. The bath room includes a bath tub outside the shower area. The bed is soft(!) unlike the typical Chinese hotel beds which are very hard. I really had good rest on the bed after 9... More

I booked this hotel for my pre and post cruise in Shanghai. On my 1st visit when checking in, I specifically heard the guy saying they are full and giving me a standard room. I kept insistently told him I booked a twin superior city view room but was ignored. Being tired from a early morning flight, I just accepted... More

So called 4 star hotel and it might live up to 3. Well received in the Reception, arriving quite late. Room was quite nice with all the expected facilities except minibar. TV with all the hundred of CCTV Chanel's and some English speaking channels. Found a free WiFi; not sure if it was hotel, but it was open. Breakfast was... More

What can I say for this hotel. It is drab, depressing and getting out the lift accidentally on the 1st floor left me with chills. It was like something from a horror story, dirty, dark, abandoned and spooky. Staff spoke no English, the room service promised was non existent, I spent 2 days sick in bed when my daughter attempted... More
