We stayed at Dorsett from March 10 to 15, on a visit to an exhibition at the new expo center. We found the stay at the hotel very convenient especially for its proximity to the center and the free shuttle bus service provided. The rooms were clean and the beds extremely comfortable. The staff very polite and helpful. The hotel...

I stayed for one night 28Feb/1March 2015. I was leaving on an early plane from Pudong on 1st and was looking for a good quality hotel within convenient reach of the airport. My experience has shown that the hotel within Pudong airport is not to my taste nor are those I am aware of around the airport. However, I found...

This hotel is located in a nice and quiet area, not so close to downtown, but with a Metro Century Park station exit directly at hotel, so you can easily connect to downtown and main sightseeing and shopping places. You can also come and go by Metro line directly from Pudong and Hongquiao airports without any change. There is also...

The hotel has the potential for being a very good one, however there is nothing around it except for the park. The rooms are nice and well maintained. The staff is friendly. The rates (if you book on-line) are really good for a hotel of this quality in Shanghai. There are plenty of bars in an area that is about...

One of the nicest hotels I've experienced in China, but unfortunately it's in the wilds of Pudong; even with a Metro station next door (there's an exit, in fact, right next to the side exit of the lobby, almost inside the hotel itself), you're at least 25 minutes away from anything you might want to visit. The rooms are a...

Stayed at the Dorsett Hotel while on an overnight transit through Shanghai. This hotel is your best option if you like easy access to Pudong Airport and Downtown Shanghai (The Bund, Pearl Tower, etc...) No complaints about the hotel however the room we were staying had a bit of a draft from the window but nothing worth calling hotel staff...

This comfortable hotel is conveniently located near the Shanghai Convention Center, and has a subway stop right in the lower level. Attending conventions in the Shanghai/Pudong Convention Center is always a strain on the purse. The hotels closest to the convention center are way overprized and if you stay further away the taxi charges will add up quickly, not to...

Hotel is located conveniently next to a metro stop of line 2. Ca. 20min ride to jinmao tower and aquarium. You can reach the metro entrance without exiting the hotel. Take a room with park view as it's convenient. Average breakfast (variety ok, but average quality of food). Rooms are very spacious (we had 1817).

Overall, I would say that the stay was a pleasant one. Both the check-in and check-out was smooth and the service staff was polite. The room was relatively spacious and have sufficient walking space even after placing two pieces of 28 inch luggages. Overall the cleanliness of the room was good, as well as the toilet. The location of the...

Staying in Century Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Century Park
Shanghai residents see Pudong’s suburbs as the place that grown-ups retreat to when they’re ready to settle down and stop living in the cramped confines of a refurbished lanehouse. The areas around Century Park are some of the most desirable as they are in close proximity to the Metro Lines, granting easy access to the heart of Puxi. The park itself is a huge draw, it’s one of Shanghai’s biggest and there are sports fields tucked into one of its corners, but five-star hotels, museums and great malls make life in the Century Park area easy for the homesick foreigner. And if living in a Western bubble in China isn’t your thing, there is plenty of local flavor to be had in between the major development. Some of Lujiazui’s futurism can also be seen in buildings and sculptures throughout the neighborhood as well.
