They have everything you need. Room air conditioning is perfect, even for winter days, they have good room heating. Room is exceptionally big, especially the bathroom - Perfect. Bed is so comfortable. With Free HD movies available in room.

If I was to give highest rating to this hotel, then it would be for it's location. It is right on the walking street at Nanjing. So far, my experience has been great here. The rooms are gr8 and look exotic. Facilities are pretty decent. Overall, it looks like a must stay.

Was here for 2 nights and it was a good base to get a feel for Shanghai. Enjoyable breakfast clean and comfortable. An easy walk to Nanking pedestrian mall which is fun to Bund and a short cheap taxi to the wonderful old city. Pool is wonderful. Jaccuzi hot water but no bubbles. Had a hot chocolate from room service...

Quiet businesshotel, clean room, friendly staff and nice selection of Asian and International breakfast. Located near a pedstrian zone and a metro stop. Nice selection of local and internatuonal restaurants in the area. Convenient location to visit the Bund area on foot or hop on the metro to the Pearl Tower.

I loved the grandness of the hotel. They have a heated pool on the fifth floor, which I unfortunately never got around to trying. Their breakfast spread is rather lavish, you are spoiled for choice. Room service has limited options, especially if you order post 1.30PM. It's a 10 minute walk from the Bund and has a 24X7 store right...

I expect five star hotels to provide a 5-star service and to cut the guests a (small) break whenever possible. Unfortunately, this did not happen during checkout today when we came across Deputy Manager Kimi Zhu. We were informed that we had consumed a bottle of water from the room bar and that the cost was 70 Yuan (say a...

Fantastic hotel in the center of Shanghai! Rooms are wide and clean, perfect furnitures and with a great sight from the windows. The location is perfect to take a look at the fantastic Nanchino Street

I stayed there in late November 2016, and I was very satisfied. I have little to add beyond the other reviews. In spite of the contemporary exterior architecture, I was relieved to find that the rooms and lobby have traditional decor and fine traditional luxurious furnishing (which I prefer over contemporary decor and furniture). In my room, I found that...

I have visited Shanghai more than 25 times, and have stayed in most of the good hotels in the middle of time - but the service level here is something special. The hotel is situated right in the middle af Shanghai - about 100 meters away from metro line 2 and 25 meters from the big shopping area Nanjing Road

Recently renovated excellent hotel with an outstanding location close to the Bund and Nanjing Rd. Very grand lobby area and nicely appointed modern rooms, but service was surprisingly below average. Difficult to find a bellman, no doormen frequently and concierge was kind of useless as he couldn’t find a nearby church for us, nor find a couple restaurants we were...

Staying in People’s Square

Neighbourhood Profile
People’s Square
People’s Square brings with it all the excitement you would expect from the town square of one of the biggest cities in the world. The area around People’s Square and People’s Park is always a abuzz with activity. Oceans of local and foreign tourists flow in and out of the area every day to see grand museums, go shopping and eat at some of Shanghai’s most storied food centers. Shanghai residents, meanwhile, live and work in the many residential and office high-rises. While much of Shanghai stays busy late into the night, this really is an area that never sleeps with glitzy nightclubs keeping people up until the wee hours of the morning.
