You really do get what you pay for this one. I am writing this from the actual room, It is a step up from a hostel, but it is no fancy place. But you are surrounded by real Shanghai, markets, little gambling dens and all type of shops around. Will sleep with my clothes on, just because I am being...

The room is very cheap and perfect for that kind of budget: clean sheets, clean bathroom and enough space to open your luggages. No breakfast included though. Moreover, the hotel is close to the subway station. We would totally recommend this place if you are on a tight budget.

This hotel is one stop away from Shanghai Train Terminal and 1 block away from subway station. It is 4 stops to the People's square and the Bund area. The place is in residential area but feel safe with police station just across the street. The staff are very friend specially the lady when i check in. My room was...

Very small room, old furniture, terribly hard mattress (the worst I have ever seen in hotel), bad smell in lobby. Quite good location, close to metro station. Big flat TV, very good A/C. Good value for small money (backpacker budget).

The price is very cheap, and that's also what you pay for. The rooms are worn out, the bed is hard (very Chinese standard), the AC is noisy, the staff speak very little english, the walls are thin and you hear people early in the mornings, the area is not very attractive, and when I stayed there the toilet drain...

This was the most challenging of the hotels we stayed in on our trip to China. That said, read my other reviews for GREAT places to stay in Beijing and Xa'in and you will get a good understanding of this hotel. We stayed 4 and a half nights. When we got there we were ready to walk out straight away....

Location is inside a black street, your room window is facing towards slums. Wifi & Wired internet is only advertisement, No connection for the wired network (inside the box there is no wiring done) Wifi is dead slow and opening of google.com.hk will take 1~2 minutes to load. No breakfast available in the hotel and no break fast in the...

We booked this hotel through Chinahotels.net which made this hotel look pretty good. But, the location was awful, we overlooked a demolition site and did not feel safe in the area. I'm sure the beds were made of concrete and spotting a cockroach was enough to push me over the edge... do not stay here! Definitely plump for a more...
