I stayed at this hotel for 10 days on a business trip. It's clean, comfortable, and the staff is great. The room was enough space for me with a double bed and desk. The bathroom was enough, too, and each morning, new towels (wrapped/sealed in plastic) replaced the ones I used. I loved seeing the lady who turned my room...

This is a local chain of hotels. You can see them in many locations in China. We were not expecting 5 star service and we were not disappointed. Hotel room and toilet is small but clean. There is no wardrobe but just a place to hang your clothes. There is a kettle to boil hot water. There is air conditioning...

I lived at this hotel for 3 months. The staff spoke limited English but we could definitely communicate. :) Clean, comfortable rooms. Hot shower. A/C. Free breakfast every morning. In-hotel restaurant was also good and reasonably priced. Close to subway, shops, and Zhongshan Park. I will definitely stay here again when I visit China.

A high quality and in expensive hotel in Shanghai. Rushing in and out, no time to really explore the hotel. The aircon worked properly and it was clean throughout. Just perfect for a visitor in a hurry

good as usual. Desk could be a bit deeper, Kind Staff but english very very poor which is not acceptable in a major international downtown city as is Shanghai. It's near Zhongshan Park and very close to lines 2, 3, and 4, so you can get anywhere

I first stayed at JinJiang Inn Zhongshan Park in summer 2009, and then again during my recent trip to Shanghai (July 2014). Both times, I found the rooms to be very clean, although a bit worn, with some scuffs on the wall. Sheets always feel very clean, and I have no doubt that they are thoroughly bleached after each use....

I was stranded in Shanghai for the night and my company booked me into this hotel. It's basic and clean, without many frills, but as far as rooms go (I was in a "business room" with a desk and a bed) it was solid. It's near Zhongshan Park and very close to lines 2, 3, and 4, so you can...

I stayed here for two months while training for a job. The rooms were very clean and the water was always hot in the shower. The internet is reliable (wired in the room). There is wifi in the lobby area. I had breakfast there every morning and enjoyed it. The location is decent and there is plenty of options of...

basic and clean and in a good location, very close to Zhongshan park and as a previous entry suggests it is located a short distance (on foot) to the metro line. Rooms are very basic and small so it is a no thrills experience here and for the price - which starts at about 250 RMB a night - there...

Staying in Zhongshan Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Zhongshan Park
The residential and commercial areas around the beautiful grounds of Zhongshan Park have never been considered particularly fashionable by a majority of Shanghai’s foreign residents, but plenty of expats do choose to live here. The park itself is a huge draw, providing a pocket of serenity in the middle of the metropolis. The area has its share of trendy shops with wares that can’t be found elsewhere, delicious restaurants with food ranging from fancy to affordable, and great hidden bars. Rents are also cheaper here than in other neighborhoods with the same conveniences. Aside from the obvious attractions, with its neighborhood fix-anything shops and pop-up street stalls that sell anything you need, you’ll never sacrifice Western comforts.

“It seems to be quiet everywhere, but I was near the elevator which was loud. I could hear the gears and stuff shifting through my wall, and Chinese tourists don't really have a sense of "indoor voices." So, check that you're not near an elevator.”
