Room was spacious and had a bath ( nice change) personal safe and good room window view.
Very comfortable bed and nice staff.
I woudl definitely stay there again. so close to all sport activities and able to do running at the big stadium track every morning for free . Street Tai chi happens each day Good value hotel
Rooms are very quiet and spacious.
Reception is nice and helpful but english language is very poor.
We didn't try breakfast.
Metro line very closed as well as Science and Technology Museum (with great fake market downstairs).
I like the fact that the sport stadium had been reconverted in a hotel. It's original.
It's surrounded by many sport fields (Badmington, Basket, Soccer, Swimming-pool, ...) and right in the middle there is the tracks to jog. In addition there are restaurants where to get meals.
But I was disappointed by many aspects:
- sport fields are not free except for the tracks
- there was cigarette smell in my room coming from somewhere else
- the room was just in front of the basket fields and so it was very noisy when people were playing (crazy guys start at 5 am... but I guess it's not the case in Winter :))
- there was bas smell coming from the bathroom.
Pros:
- many sport activity available
- subway nearby
- original
- price is ok
- very alive
- downtown
Cons:
- Not quiet (make sure to ask for a room that is not in front of any sport fields)
- Cigarette smell
- Bad smell in the bathroom
Hope it helps
The room was clean, modern and very comfortable and the staff polite with
some english language.
For me the restaurant was acceptable and the food was good considering the price per night
but my wife was not so happy with its quality.
The food served for breakfast is really bad, and no better food nearby.
The floor of the room feels sticky while walking barefoot..
Very little english spoken by some of the staff.
The room was modern decored and clean enough. The staffs were so welcoming and efficient! They left me a very good impression!
The location was just fine in Pudong area. If you are travelling in winter when day time was short you may feel a bit scary in the night. The area was quite dark.
The only shortage is there's no good food nearby. The hotel breakfast is expensive and poor-- seriously poor. The restaurant attached with the hotel was lousy too.
Overall if you don't care food to much this is a very lovely hotel.
