A great hotel - excellent clean room service -breakfast not really worth $AU8 when you can eat across the road for $2.00. Seafood restaurant adjoining property was good value. Fast dry cleaning and very fast on line delivery services.
Room was spacious and had a bath ( nice change) personal safe and good room window view.
Very comfortable bed and nice staff.
I woudl definitely stay there again. so close to all sport activities and able to do running at the big stadium track every morning for free . Street Tai chi happens each day Good value hotel

The hotel is located inside Yuanshen Stadium, Pudong area.
Rooms are very quiet and spacious.
Reception is nice and helpful but english language is very poor.
We didn't try breakfast.
Metro line very closed as well as Science and Technology Museum (with great fake market downstairs).

An average hotel as an accommodation facility, but the locan is quite unique. Very close from Shanghai city center, subway station is in walking distance and is combinient, also right inside the large sports complex. Staying here must be exciting if the place hosts a big sports match. If you're staying in Shanghai for a long time, the hotel isn't so expensive and could be used as a budget hotel.

I like the fact that the sport stadium had been reconverted in a hotel. It's original.
It's surrounded by many sport fields (Badmington, Basket, Soccer, Swimming-pool, ...) and right in the middle there is the tracks to jog. In addition there are restaurants where to get meals.

But I was disappointed by many aspects:
- sport fields are not free except for the tracks
- there was cigarette smell in my room coming from somewhere else
- the room was just in front of the basket fields and so it was very noisy when people were playing (crazy guys start at 5 am... but I guess it's not the case in Winter :))
- there was bas smell coming from the bathroom.

Pros:
- many sport activity available
- subway nearby
- original
- price is ok
- very alive
- downtown

Cons:
- Not quiet (make sure to ask for a room that is not in front of any sport fields)
- Cigarette smell
- Bad smell in the bathroom

Hope it helps

The hotel is built into the side of the stadium that hosts one of the Shanghai football teams. Not much to see around there but in the early am and evening they open the running track inside to the public so it's a good place to grab a run on a nice surface. Also out front are about 15 public hoops courts where you can watch the next Jeremy Lin and get into a game if you are up to it. The bed was large and comfy and there was a nice desk with a lamp. Wifi was pretty consistent for China. The included breakfast - like in most Chinese hotels - was unappetizing for a Westerner. I usually walked about a mile to the McCafe for my morning coffee.

We stayed there for a week given its location and found it worth the price.
The room was clean, modern and very comfortable and the staff polite with
some english language.
For me the restaurant was acceptable and the food was good considering the price per night
but my wife was not so happy with its quality.

The AC worked once in a while only, I got woken up by the heat (The AC was working when I fell asleep and broke during the night) after a long 15 hours flight, I did not need this...

The food served for breakfast is really bad, and no better food nearby.

The floor of the room feels sticky while walking barefoot..

Very little english spoken by some of the staff.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and found it worth the money paid for.

The room was modern decored and clean enough. The staffs were so welcoming and efficient! They left me a very good impression!

The location was just fine in Pudong area. If you are travelling in winter when day time was short you may feel a bit scary in the night. The area was quite dark.

The only shortage is there's no good food nearby. The hotel breakfast is expensive and poor-- seriously poor. The restaurant attached with the hotel was lousy too.

Overall if you don't care food to much this is a very lovely hotel.

Only one pillow and one towel were provided (have to request for more and sign for them). The TV only had 3 English channels (CNN, MAX, HBO) and went out at one point. The room service line was busy (this should never happen) and they brought up cold fries. The pool is hard to find (in another building) and it was packed. The internet fee is outrageous (6 yuan per 10 minutes, max of 1 hour a day). Not many eateries nearby where you can find an English menu.
