I was upgraded to a private bure on arrival, despite having booked acheaper option as a solo traveller. The check in was welcoming and perfect. The owner, Angela, from NZ was really lovely, as were the managers Gabrielle and Craig. They looked after my every need and more, even a coffee delivered with my early wake up call on my...

Ni Sa Bula, Vinaka Vakulevu for your warm and kind review. The entire team of Maqai thoroughly enjoyed hosting you Caz. We loved how you embraced all that Maqai has to offer and socialised with other guests and our wondeful Fijian team. Yes, we are so very proud of our veggie garden and that we offer garden to table of...

Like the food served up at meal times, this place has a real organic feel, nothing forced, nothing faked, but plenty of flavour. I came here to surf, but the fact that I got little to no surf (due to bad timing with conditions), and still had a good time, is testament to this magical little spot. Gabby and Craig...

Ni Sa Bula, Vinaka Vakulevu for your wonderful review. We were disappointed that you did not receive great surf on your vacation but you did not allow that to ruin your time with us. You were truly a lovely guest and the Maqai Team very much enjoyed getting to know you. You are so right, our location is amazing and...

We stayed at Maqai Eco Resort in July 2015 and absolutely loved it! If you’re after a great place to simply wind down and relax in a beautiful and friendly atmosphere this is your place! The location is quiet and slightly remote – exactly what we wanted! Since it’s a small resort you get to know everyone (staff and guests)...

We chose this location because we wanted to experience the real Fiji which is what we got. From the rough, wet boat ride to the Bure right on the waters edge, it was perfect. So much to do and very little to do if you prefer. it was great to have meals with all the guests and met new people....

Ni Sa Bula, Vinaka Vakalevu for your lovely review. You were lovely guests and how lovely it was that you shared a very special event here with us. Yes it was windy while you were here, it is the trade wind season, however we are experiencing unseasonal weather for this time of year which has been all round Fiji. We...

I just spent five nights on Maqai had the most fantastic time. It is an unspoilt paradise with crystal clear water, white sandy beach and and abundance of fish to see when snorkelling right off the beach.
