Such an idyllic Island, the kids loved the pool, beach and turtle sanctuary. The food was quite overpriced and we were led to believe there was a kids buffet included each in the price each night but on 3 nights it wasn’t available so we had to order off the menu for them which was not free.
We enjoyed the close knit, smaller vibe of the resort and definitely want to go back.
It’s a great place to relax but after 3-4 days we were ready for a bit more adventure but that’s just us being active relaxers.

I have given three stars for the beach and the lovely people. I recently took my family there for Christmas, I was aware it’s not a five star resort and was not disappointed with accommodation or beach that is spectacular, a true Fijian experience.
Unfortunately the food is disgusting as described by other travellers, cold and you wait hours,Christmas lunch was non existent ,we barely ate a thing And what we did get was awful. My vegetarian daughter got 4 spring rolls, chips and a bit of salad.
The Restaurant needs a massive upgrade and lots of maintenance needs to be done around the grounds.Staff need to top up plates, cutlery, glasses etc as it exhausting asking all the time.
In short the meal package was very expensive for low grade cold food. The manager needs to take notice of the feedback and rectify the problem ASAP

We’ve been staying 4 nights at treasure island. The island itself is stunning with a nice beach and good snorkeling opportunities and lots of opportunities of activities you can do for free.

The food quality is very poor and was very limited. First of all the food is very very expensive compared to the quality. They had a buffet every night for 70$ and the quality of the buffet food was very disappointing. Besides from that they only had a kids menu for the people who didn’t like the buffet, but half the stuff wasn’t available. Everyday they’ve run out of main ingredients in the dishes. Cheese, tomato’s, tomato sauce, healthy and safe drinking water…
The food is spoiling the whole experience, which is sad because the island is amazing.

Besides from that the rooms are dirty, the cleaners are not cleaning the rooms probably. Old tissues was laying around on the floor and in the corners. Sand is everywhere and is swept away in the corners.

If you’re staying here I recommend bringing heaps of snacks and drinks

Thank you so much to Henry and the staff for making our holiday amazing! We were lucky enough to spend 5 days in paradise and have nothing but good things to say. From the lush sand and blue beaches to the facilities it was all great!

So good to see the island as it starts coming back to life post covid! You can tell just how much it means to the team and is translated into the overwhelmingly good service from them.

Rooms were modern and beautifully kept each day and nicely air conditioned for when you need a breather from the lush Fijian sun!

Vinaka!

This place is rustic. Owned by a local tribe. Very big and lots of people, great and welcoming for kids. Do NOT recommend for couples or solo or group “nice” vacation. As far as nature- it’s minimal. The reef is very bare. If you’re looking for fish, go up to Yasawa Islands on the Ferry. Go to Mantaray Island Resort, Barefoot Mana, Octopus, or other places good for snorkeling. Anywhere near Nadi is limited in underwater. The turtles are kept in two enclosures. It’s a good rehab program, but nothing special. You’ll see them in the wild up in the Yasawa islands.
They have “fish feeding” each day. They feed them bread which makes them diabetic. It’s not good for the fish but they do it for the tourists. I don’t like that. The buffet is basic with three meats and rice and potatoes and pasta for $60 fjd. Choose something off the menu and you’ll pay slightly less and have much better flavors.
The grounds are rustic to say it nicely. The beach is lovely and safe. Overall the place is good for families with young kids. Older kids over 10 will likely enjoy the islands more. The staff is friendly.
Not worth anywhere near $200 usd, let alone over $300 a night. Pay to go elsewhere.

If you are after a very very low key, no frills, relaxed holiday, then Treasure Island is right for you. We read all the reviews. And we were prepared for what we got. 5 days of sun, food, drink, water, snorkeling, kayaking, SUP, no TV, spa treatments and limited wifi was glorious. The place is probably 3 Star, maybe 4 on a good day. We had accommodation and meals package which was great. The staff are beautiful, always friendly and very accomodating. We had a premium beachfront Bure, it had stunning views and you could just step on to the beach! On arrival they say, ‘Welcome Home’ and they mean it. Gorgeous people!

However, if you are after a 5 star resort with all the bells and whistles, then this place is not for you. The food is simple and nothing flash at all. Pretty basic. Except the New Years buffet was amazing! The alcohol is expensive and takes forever to arrive. Most nights we had finished our mains before the drinks had come. You have to ask several times for anything, eg towels, milk, etc. No motorised water sports either. The whole island needs a bit of TLC as it is showing its age. But we didn’t care and overall a great relaxing holiday, which is exactly what we wanted.

Treasure Island is an absolutely gorgeous island with beautiful beaches, amazing staff and a lovely pool. The food was ok for a few days but for a longer stay they need more options and to change up the menu more. The beach side bure’s were really big and comfortable, the beds amazing and kept lovely and clean by the lovely ladies who came in daily. The faculties are great but need some repairs and more attention, the pool was amazing but some tiles were falling off and needed some general repairs. The lady in the spa was incredible - I didn’t want my massage to ever end. Overall we had the most amazing 6 days and would definitely come back but a few things they could improve to make 5/5!

Treasure Island really is a Treasure. We loved every minute of the relaxed atmosphere and felt privileged to help this wee island (and it’s community) get back on its feet. After a long 2 years of COVID uncertainty things are on the up for this place. The staff were extraordinary, so happy and helpful. As the money comes in things will only get better. If you’re expectations are for Fiji pre COVID come in 12 months or come today and help progress the choice is yours. We are a family of 4 (8 year old and 11 year old) snorkeling was amazing and the restaurant pool was so cool, the kids lived in it!
The rooms were clean tidy, serviced daily and spacious, we were in the premium ocean view.
At dinner you get the best home made buns to start….so good!
Recommend private boat to island if you are time poor. Such a cool place we will be back!

Planning a trip to Fiji and wondering if Treasure Island is a good place to stay? Been to Treasure before and wondering whether you should return? The answer to both those questions should be a resounding “Yes!”

Treasure Island is very much open for business. From the moment you step off the boat onto the beach you’ll be welcomed by the friendly, hospitable staff who will make your stay special.

We nearly didn’t visit, after reading earlier reviews and wondering whether the island was ready for visitors after the long Covid break. Incredibly glad we did, as we had a truly relaxing holiday and were made to feel so welcome.

The island setting is so beautiful and the weather so warm - but it’s the people who truly make Treasure so special. You can leave other resorts or hotels appreciating the service you received. You’ll leave Treasure remembering the individual staff members who made such a difference to your holiday.

This wasn’t our first stay on Treasure and it definitely won’t be our last.

Bula CactusRose, Thank you for your 5/5 review received. It is indeed great to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and we are happy that we were able to give you a memorable holiday. We did have alot of bad reviews due to the teething problems we had when we first reopened resulting in alot of guests going to another hotel. You have come and experienced that we were reopened and all was well. We hope to welcome you back to Treasure and we thank you so much for your patronage of Treasure island Resort.

My favourite part of Treasure Island was definitely the workers, who were friendly, very helpful and made my family and I feel at home. Our bungalow was stunning, very tidy and clean on arrival. I really enjoyed the breakfast which was included with our stay. The price of the food was too high for me personally. I liked how there were different activities displayed on a board for the guests to enjoy and participate in through out the day. We found our experience on the island very relaxing and rejuvinating. Vinaka 😊

What is the best way to get from Nadi Airport to Treasure Island?
Answer from Brooke Z
Albany, New Zealand34 contributions30 helpful votes
It depends if you use the speed boat or South Sea Cruise option. If you use the speed boat they pick you up from the airport and take you to the jetty, if you use the big boat you can easily get a taxi or shuttle from the airport to the Denarau wharf. I’m sure Treasure Island would provide you with options available if you email them.
