The Sheraton Resort & Spa on Tokoriki Island is celebrated for its idyllic setting, surrounded by Fiji's clear blue waters, which are perfect for snorkeling and island excursions. While guests love the spacious rooms boasting stunning views, there's a call for improved cleanliness and upgrades. The hotel's atmosphere, enriched with daily local music, and its extensive amenities, including a variety of dining options and water sports, receive high marks. Views on value are split, with some travelers finding the all-inclusive options a steal, while others point out higher costs. The friendly staff is often commended, though there are occasional mentions of slow service.

We stayed here with our two ten year old grandchildren for 6 nights. We loved every minute of our stay and the children were never bored even though the weather was not always in our favour. Between the pool, the beach and snorkelling they were always busy. We all enjoyed the daily aquarobics and volley ball which was fun for all ages. These activities encouraged guests to mix but there were very few of us staying at this time. The indoor cinema which we had to ourselves, was a great distraction when we needed a break from the sun and sea, as were the table tennis and snooker tables etc.
We went on the two hour snorkelling trip, visiting Castaway Island and the coral and fish on that trip were better than around the resort but it was expensive for the two adults and two children. We were also dragged out on the back of jetskis to access the resort reef without a charge. There are few places to walk to on the island other than the short walk over to Hideaway Beach - take reef shoes!

Breakfasts were excellent with a wide variety of food available. We generally skipped lunch for cost reasons. Dinner was good and the children enjoyed the kids menu selection; this was enough for our granddaughter but we had to supplement it for the grandson with sides. The main menus was limited and good but not 5 star. All drinks are particularly expensive and the cocktails only average quality. Ice cream at the poolside were prohibitively expensive (3 scoops for 15 dollars and no option for one scoop) so the children missed out.

Water Sport staff were available, friendly and informative. Danny our captain on one trip was particularly attentive to our welfare. They even got up before dawn to get us onto a water taxi at 4.30am.
All staff were excellent and so helpful. Our house keeper was particularly helpful when our grandaughter was feeling unwell. Villi who organised activities was great and entertaining as a leader and the children adored him. Most of all Mereoni in Reception stood out as she helped get us off the island when our flight home was cancelled and we had to leave during the night. I do hope please that management pass on our appreciation and thanks to her in person.

My mum and I visited the Sheraton Tokoriki Spa and Resort and had an amazing time! The staff were friendly, the views were stunning and we loved being on Fiji time. We looked forward to Amini's singing every night when we went for dinner.

Food and alcohol can be a bit pricey but the food is beautiful and Chef Beverly was lovely enough to come out of the kitchen and ask the guests how their meals were and of they needed anything else.

We stayed in an ocean front villa with a plunge pool which had an amazing view of the beach and beautiful sunsets. Even though we visited in the wet season we had amazing weather everyday.

I would recommend staying here if you need some R&R!

Paradise!! Just returned from 4 nights at the Sheraton Tokoriki island it by far surpassed my expectations.

We travelled out there by sun sea ferry and were met by the hotel boat to transfer us to the island. Once we were on the hotel boat we could hear music playing, however the closer we got we realised it was the hotel staff singing for our arrival, it was honestly the most amazing experience and actually quite emotional. We were given drinks and a very speedy check-in.

I stayed in a garden villa, there are ocean view villas which were connected to my villa but honestly, I didn’t see the value in paying extra for those when you don’t spend much time in your room and the beach is on your doorstep.

I stayed 4 nights and was very fortunate to be the first arrival after the pandemic. The staff at this hotel were by far some of the best staff I have come across, I love to travel and prepandemic would regularly take 2-3 holidays a year so I have stayed in many hotels. Why were they the best? There attentiveness, friendly, warm nature. Ana and Iva from the poolside bar were so lovely, such a joy to be around, regularly checking in with us each day and throughout the day, nothing was too much trouble for these ladies. Lots of laughs were had with them, lovely people and a credit to the hotel. There are activities going on throughout the day and lev and vila the activity team were just wonderful as were all the other members, there’s something for everyone, water aerobics, coconut demonstrations, making coconut ice cream, guided walks around the island. These two are such fun guys, lovely people with lots of island knowledge and Vila coming from the local village on the corresponding island has so many interesting stories to tell.

We took the JetSki safari which was 1.5 hours on the JetSki, so worth it. Travelling across the bay passing some of the islands our guides were so knowledgeable pointing out each of the islands and giving us some background, we stopped for snorkelling at one of the reefs and a second spot for swimming. Highly worth doing, considering your out for 1.5 hours the price is actually worth it. Recommend you buy the non motorised package from the water sports team if you intend to snorkel or kayak here if you are staying for a few days, it’s $165 but includes all equipment as many times as you like, get down early for the shallower waters and to secure your gear.

I loved every minute of my stay at the Sheraton Tokoriki, that is all down to the immaculate rooms, the wonderful staff and the Fiji Local Buffet dinner which takes place on a Friday.

Mitchell and his team at Tokoriki were outstanding, it feels like your home at this hotel, lovely people who go out of their way to ensure you have a memorable stay.

After studying fabulous reviews on trip advisor and reading the official description containing words such as pristine beaches, world class accommodation and fabulous views, we paid the expensive price to buy this piece of paradise for 4 nights, and even paid extra for the sea view with plunge pool, plus breakfast. We even coughed up for the expensive 1hr catamaran taxi to the resort from Nadi. -( £70 pp one way) All of which I was happy to pay as I was buying 5 star luxury!
Oh dear, how disappointed.
First to greet us was approx 200m of sandy beach, half in front of the main hotel building which was clean but had no sunbeds or shades for sunbathing and the other half in front of the beach view accommodation covered with smelly seaweed. There were ramshackle sheltering with large round torn mats presumably to lay on.
The meet and greet was great and checking in was quick and easy. The staff at the reception tables sat on large leather chairs, most of which were torn and the leather missing.
The ocean view accommodation was clean with a large comfy bed, fridge and large flat screen tv which had no reception half of the time. The water pressure in the room was barely noticeable and after three times asking if it could be improved, I was told the whole island was like it and they were "working on it"
The ocean view turned out to be a small section seen between the two beach front buildings in front of us.
There were two restaurants being used on alternate nights with limited menus. However, the food was very good and the staff fabulous.
The pool and surrounding area needs a bit of TCL as it looks grubby around the tile edges and some seating areas could use a coat varnish.
Food and drinks were particularly expensive, but we were aware of these costs when we booked. However, you find yourself begrudgingly paying for these extras when you feel totally duped into paying for 5 star and only receiving a 3 star resort.

Just returned from a 6 night stay in a island breeze room.
Room was fine. Nothing that stands out but definitely comfortable. House keepers would vary as some may go the extra mile while others did the minimum.

Upon arrival we were taken aback with the crystal waters and checkin was nothing short of easy and very pleasant.

Costs are VERY high for majority of things to do on the island in particular water sports and food which is what most people are there for. Was disappointed to learn by staff that cost of water sports were half pr ce during Christmas.

Staff seem run down, unprofessional and many have little knowledge on answering guest queries which can leave you confused and makinf the wrong choices or possibly missing out. Visted the adults only next door and i was instantly taken aback by the proffesionalism of the staff.

Hit and miss with food by the pool which is were most guests seem to have lunch. Again staff have little knowledge of the menus. Quality of food for lunch was very poor.
Service is so slow we waited 1.5 hours for lunch to be served only to find out the order was not put in.

Dinners were impressive however you would expect nothing less with the premium prices.

Kids club staff we're great with kids and followed a fun program.

Unfortunately would not return to this island

My girlfriend and I stayed at the resort for 3 nights, We had high hopes about this resort and were both really excited at spending a few nights on the island. The check in process was smooth and we were able to check in early to our room which was good. What they don't inform you about is you are expected to pay a large deposit of 150 dollars per person per night, however. The facilities are excellent, with a large swimming pool, gym, mini golf, tennis courts and watersports available for guests on the beach. The Bure we stayed in was spacious and clean. However there were several disappointing factors about our stay. There are 3 restaurants advertised but only 1 is open for dinner each night. This is understandable to an extent during the low season, however the menu was very limited with only 4 main options and no vegetarian option all of which were very expensive. We did discuss our concerns with the F & B manager and the chef who kindly accommodated us with options which were not on the menu. The staff are pleasant, however overall the service was poor, where we were often waiting 15 minutes at least for water to be offered, and for drinks. We enjoyed some of the activities which the hotel organised for the guest. Villi who runs most of the activities was great, a really nice funny guy who tries very hard to get everyone involved, we took part in the pool volleyball, kava tasting and basket making. Overall it was a pleasant stay in a beautiful location with plenty of activities, however I don't think it was the 5 star experience that we expected regarding the service at times and the dining options were disappointing and overpriced.

For extras we do take an authorization upon arrival on a credit card, which we can settle easily upon departure. For the dinners we offer guests different restaurants open different nights of the week to offer variety. I am sorry you were let down on this as we do not open all restaurant every night. Your other feedback on service and meals has been addressed with the team, apologies for the shortfall. The accommodation is good and the rooms air conditioned, the staff are pleasant and helpful. Don’t be fooled by the references to world class dining this is pub and bistro food a real disappointment, they closed the restaurants giving you no dining options and cared little if you complained as once you are on the island you have no other choice to accept what is put in front of you. It’s surprising that an island that has a boat visiting it twice a day how often the run out of things but always find a lower quality of food to replace it with

Bula Grumpy1456, Thanks for your review, it was also good to meet during your stay to discuss. Naturally disappointing we could not meet your expectations. I do believe our team looked after you and your company well, considering the special requests you had. For dinner we always have minimum two options every night and alternate restaurant being opened. We have very strict rules on Food Hygiene and during quality control we had to turn down certain items from a vendor which led to certain food items not being available for a short time. Sadly this place doesn’t live up to the expectation of 5 star. Firstly the cuisine is inedible, with frozen meat/fish and cheap processed food. My Mahi mahi was frozen and my son had gastro after eating a frozen burger on our first day. The scallops were terrible and the chicken burger was processed. Despite buying the full Food & Beverage Bula Package (that was great value) we couldn’t bring ourselves to have lunch. The best meal is Breakfast and the poached eggs/omelette chef was the best. The Fijian lovo was our best dinner meal there and wagyu beef fillet personally cooked by Head Chef Beverly, after I complained to her personally. There was a strong smell of sewerage on the beach & shower water. The pool needed maintenance with broken tiles, however reasonable. The tiles around the pool were very slippery. For $1000AUD per night, I would rather pay another $600 per night and stay at pristine Vomo.

At Vomo my family went on a free snorkeling trip daily at 11am. At Sheraton Tokoriki they were allowed 30 mins each off the beach. They decided it wasn’t worthwhile as the short beach stunk of effluent.
The Manager didn’t approach me to discuss my concerns. I guess she was busy with the American guests and others (everyone we spoke to, even a famous Chef from NZ) who were all complaining too.

I am sad to write this, as the Restaurant Staff are exceptional and provide wonderful service. They deserve to be supported by Management to provide quality meals, rather than frozen processed inferior quality food. The room maids do a wonderful job too.

This will be our last visit to Sheraton Tokoriki, until our kids are 16 and we can stay at the exceptional Tokoriki Island resort over the hill, on Tokoriki island. The food is excellent at Tokoriki islsnd and the traditional Bure style accommodation.

Sheraton Tokoriki doesn’t deserve to be affiliated with the Sheraton brand, as it is a 3 star resort at best and 1 star for cuisine standards.

Bula Vinaka Jenny N We thank your loyalty towards our Sheraton brand and choosing to stay at our Sheraton Resort & Spa Tokoriki Island. The time taken and feedback you have offered to highlight your stay is extremely important to us and I regret to hear that we have fallen short on certain aspects to meet your expectations. However, we are glad to hear about your commends towards our wonder associates. Your concerns and comments on Food & Beverage quality to match value have been considered and addressed with the department. With regards to the sewerage like smell on the beach, the scent of evaporating moisture from the seagrass comes with the ocean breeze. We have activated beach clean-up campaigns to clear up the beach on a more regular basis. We do hope for another opportunity to better your experience with us whenever your travels bring you back to Fiji. My husband and I booked the oceanfront plunge pool villa and although a little dated it was very nice to wake up to the sea views and hear the waves. We loved the snorkelling and the staff were friendly. However the food and drinks were terrible the same food on the menu most nights and when we ventured out to try the Indian restaurant the food was below average and way too salty. The drinks were inconsistent some days if you were lucky you got a good cocktail but most of the time the drinks were full of ice and very little of the actual drink you had paid for. You get 2 small bottles of Fiji water delivered to your room each day and it was not until I got a tummy bug that I asked if the “filtered” water was drinkable 3 different staff said don’t drink it buy Fiji water. There was total inconsistencies with everything like one day you received towels etc in your room and other days not and when you enquired it was because the laundry was coming later that day from the main island. The same was with pool towels they never had enough to cater to the guests.
There was a terrible sewage smell and we asked about it and was told it was the sea grass that washed up on the beach but we think there was sewage issues too. I feel sad writing this review as the Fijian people are beautiful and their happy smiles and singing is contagious. However it feels like leadership and consistency in service standards is majorly lacking. I hope that these issues are sorted as the resort could be amazing.

Bula Vinaka Watsons17324 Thank you for choosing Sheraton Resort & Spa Tokoriki Island as your choice of accommodation during your recent visit to Fiji. Your invaluable feedback is extremely important to us and I regret to hear that we have fallen short to meet your expectations. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconveniences experienced during your stay. We have taken into great consideration your feedback regarding our resort’s services you experienced. Your concerns regarding the consistency and quality of our food & beverage services have been considered and we are taking appropriate actions to address these with our team. Our resort uses laundromat services on the mainland to ensure all linens are well cleaned as Tokoriki Island currently do not have equipment for industrial cleaning. We will escalate this as a case with our service providers to review cause on the delay that had impacted your stay to ensure that this is not repeated in the future. Our pristine location in the Mamanucas offers crystal clear waters, palm fringed sandy beach and live coral reefs. However, we will often have sea grass floating back onto the shores. As much as we enjoy the warm island sunshine, the scent of evaporating moisture from the seagrass comes with the ocean breeze. We have activated beach clean-up campaigns to clear up the beach on a more regular basis. We do hope for another opportunity to better your experience with us whenever your travels bring you back to Fiji. I just got back from five nights at Sheraton Resort & Spa Tokoriki (ending early November 2022). Some things about our trip were great, others were terrible.

Great: Snorkelling on the reef at the drop-off, about 250m from the shore. There were many colourful, small corals and small fishes. We snorkelled for more than hour each morning and each afternoon for five days. (We never saw any sharks, turtles, rays, clams or other large marine animals.)

Ok: The food was plentiful, but not remarkable. Drinks were expensive, as mentioned in many other reviews. Our food was included in our package.

Poor: For those without an ocean front room, there were very few shady places with a water view to sit and read. Staff on jet skis always prevented us from snorkelling or paddling anywhere except directly in front of the resort. The resort pool was small, busy, and the surrounding deck chairs were always occupied. It was hard to escape the music played at the bar area, whether recorded or live (hope you like ukulele music). Pool towels were often unavailable. The coffee machine always had a long line of people during breakfast.

Terrible: Our "Ocean View" room was described as having "sensational views of the ocean". It did offer glimpses of the ocean, but only if we peered between some buildings and through the shrubs. See the uploaded photo, taken from our room's small front deck.

Bula Vinaka Digital21c, Firstly, we thank you for choosing to stay with us at Sheraton Resort & Spa, Tokoriki Island, Fiji. We appreciate your invaluable time in providing us a thorough review on your recent stay. I regret to hear that certain aspects of your experiences did not meet your expectations. Watersports operated by Surf, Dive & Ski are always on standby above the water to ensure all swimming or snorkeling guests are looked after as the currents may take guests adrift. The team also has snorkel and dive trips for guests to choose from at the watersports Bure on the beachfront accessible by all guests. Regarding your dining experience especially with food, please do not hesitate to tell us more as we would like to ensure our team are able to ensure necessary improvements are in place. Our beverage list pricing is a slightly higher that prices offered on the mainland as we need to transfer all resort supplies by boat to Tokoriki Island. We appreciate your overall feedback and do hope for another opportunity to better your experience with us whenever your travels bring you back to Fiji.
