Time flies- can't believe my last stay at Navini was in 2012. I had a wonderful holiday here. Initially booked for 7 nights but extended my stay by 3 nights (thanks Cyclone Mal). The other option was to stay 6 nights and an overnighter in Nadi, not knowing whether flights would be cancelled anyway. I made the right decision to stay! The transfer from the airport to Vuda marina and then by the resort's boat was fine. I wasn't feeling well and was concerned about the boat ride over to the island. The crew were great and made sure that I was comfortable. The island is beautiful and is surrounded by a stunning ocean and reef. All bures face the ocean . My deluxe premier bure was huge and comfortable. A king bed, great pillows and an outdoor day bed- bliss. Complimentary sun balm, sulus and toiletries are included in all bures. The meals were awesome- fresh and tasty with so much variety to suit all tastes. Again, no complaints at all. All staff and the manager Kunal are wonderful. Such caring people who ensure their guests are happy and nothing is too much trouble. In fact, often guests re-book their next holiday during their stay. During the days leading to Cyclone Mal it was a worry but guests were kept informed by Kunal and his staff. In my situation I decided to extend by 3 nights and Kunal sorted out my return flight with Fiji airways- fantastic service. Do yourself a favour and visit this resort- you won't regret it …

What a fabulous week. Well worth the additional wait of 18 months that COVID restrictions imposed on us. The island experience was just what we expected in almost every way. Small friendly island, personalized attention at every turn, kind and genuine staff, beautiful surroundings, fantastic weather, enjoyable excursions and snorkeling. One item didn’t just meet our expectation it far surpassed it - and that was the food. I was so pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of food offered. If, or I should say when, I go back it will be for the following reasons: The staff (Fijian hospitality can’t be beat); the food and food service team; the island; the relaxation; the natural beauty; the snorkeling and exploring; the fact that it wasn’t a big resort where staff wouldn’t have known us or been so friendly; easy pre-arranged transfers from and back to the airport; and all the other little details that the staff took care of so we could enjoy our time. I read reviews on many Fijian resorts before I chose Navini. What other reviewers praised about the friendly, intimate island sounded just like what I wanted. And that is exactly what I got. While this trip was just my wife and I, I dream now of taking kids and grandkids back for an amazing family week. I better start saving.…

My husband, I and 2 boys (age 8 and 10) have just spent a wonderful week on Navini, whilst travelling between New Zealand and Europe. We were looking for a traditional Fijian island, far away from the 'big resort' feel of the mainland and bigger islands. Navini surpassed all our expectations. We purposely looked for an island that did not have a swimming pool, constant wifi coverage, kids clubs etc. Instead our boys spent the day snorkelling (swimming with reef sharks and turtles), playing in the sand, playing volley ball every afternoon with the staff, learning traditional Fijian games and even sampling 'cava!!' they caught and ate their own fish and learnt so much about the marine life surrounding the island. The staff were so friendly and genuine that it was easy to fall into island time - no hurry, no worry. We cannot thank the staff enough, we have created wonderful memories and can't wait to go back. Thank you!!!…

I went to Navini for vacation in early October. It's a exquisite island. There are group activities every day morning, including snorkeling, basket weaving, etc. All meals are very well prepared. And they are delicious. Stuff working in the resort and other visitors are so nice. It makes me feel an extended family. Though I've been back home already, I still miss the days on the island.

We absolutely adored our stay at Navini, and can't recommend it more highly! It is an absolutely gorgeous little island fringed by a coral reef allowing for fantastic snorkelling right off the beach. The staff are all so friendly, but in an authentic way, not over the top like you can encounter at other resorts. No fancy day spas, just amazing nature, wonderful people. The transfers were seamless, which made the journey so easy. We were met at the airport, popped in a car, driven to the port, and immediately placed on a boat to take us to Navini. The food is fantastic. I didn't anticipate such wonderful food, so that was such a nice surprise. For lunch and dinner we were able to choose off a menu (3 options for entree and main, 2 options for desert). It was so nice having this choice, and not having to deal with a buffet. Breakfast had a large delicious selection of offerings, and coffee was very good too! Each morning we were able to join a snorkelling excursion. The boat left at 10am, ventured about 20-30 mins away to a lovely reef (different location each day), and we returned in time for lunch. I could go on and on... just brilliant..we loved our stay and will certainly return.…

We had a truly wonderful 5 days on Navini. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, the bures are well appointed (very comfortable beds), the food delicious and varied. All activities are arranged for you, all you have to do is decide which swimsuit to put on! A completely relaxing holiday in a very special place. We thoroughly recommend it and look forward to visiting again soon.

Bula! Some things to note before I get into the review that will give context for the report. We are a couple in our mid 40s traveling without kids. We've been to Maldives, French Polynesia, Bali, Curacao, Grand Turks, and Tanzania for tropical getaways. We are both scuba divers and I love to snorkel. I am vegetarian/fairly picky eater, hubby eats anything. I would consider $1K/night expensive and $500 mid range for accommodations. We heard that Fiji offered some of the best scuba and snorkeling so that was a key driver in how we planned our trip. Final overall note, the weather was not the greatest for the majority of our trip. I realize we are getting to the very start of the rainy season, but I was surprised how little sun and how much wind and rain we had. We chose to do this at stop #2 since we were flying out of NAN to LAX later in the day and it being only 30 mins by boat from the island to NAN, we didn't have to spend a day/night on the main island and we generally like to save the more chill part of the vacay until the end. We were happy we did BM first. Navini is amazing, the correspondence during booking was great as well as leading up to our arrival. We were promptly picked up via boat from South Sea Island during very rough seas, but made it there just in time for dinner. Based on availability we booked the first night in a Premier room and then the Deluxe for the remainder of the visit. The Deluxe was simply perfect. A nice king sized bed, huge bathroom, nice covered porch as well as a covered daybed as well as 2 lounge chairs leading right out to the beach. Again the weather was super windy and on a couple days the off island snorkel was canceled and replaced with a cooking lesson and coconut lesson. We did dive with SubSurface one day (had planned 2) but it was such a hassle that we just did one day. We were picked up at 8am took a 40 min boat ride to meet the dive boat, waited a while, then took another 30-40 mins to reach the dive site. Dive was OK, but not nearly as good as up at BM. The house reef was good, but again, nothing like at BM, so I guess now I am spoiled. But the FOOD here was amazing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served, with the lunch and dinner menu changing daily. All of it was so good and fresh. The service and hospitality was very nice, same as at BM. We felt welcomed the entire time. Many friendly Bulas! exchanged each day. By the end of the trip they knew of breakfast orders and preferences. …

I don't know where to start! Honestly if you want the very best of Fiji choose Navini. Fantastic personalised service and care. The bures are beautifully situated to be private and have direct access to the water for swimming and snorkelling. Also, there is a daily snorkel trip to other terrific snorkelling locations. Food is all made on the island and is delicious .There are about 20 guests at any one time. Perfect for total relaxation......nothing is too much trouble for the wonderful staff on this island. And there are turtles!!!

Navini gave us a holiday to remember. The staff are attentive and warm, and generously share their culture and traditions with guests during the evening cocktail hour. We snorkelled every day, at least once. The abundance of coral and marine life is stunning, and we even came across a beautiful turtle feeding on the reef surrounding the island and spent 10 minutes watching her - one of the highlights of the holiday. Amazing fresh food is served every meal time and there is no need to keep track of time, you only need to listen out for the beating of the Lali (drum) to let you know it is time to make your way to the dining area. We did not know if we would enjoy the communal dining aspect, but found we had fun meeting the other 20/30 y.o. couples whilst still having ample privacy throughout the day and the option to dine alone when we felt like it. We will be recommending Navini to any friends/family looking for a secluded island holiday with the chance to disconnect completely in beautiful surrounds and experience authentic Fijian culture.…
