First, let me say that Jim is a really nice host, with lots to say about the community and history of the inn. (Be sure to ask about that, since it is very interesting indeed!) Very nicely furnished room, which just felt like we were back in the old South. However, the built-in fridge and microwave belied that--and added to...

We loved the charming and comfortable decor, the great food and warm, warm welcome from host Jim. The bath has a fridge and microwave, plus claw-footed bath and separate shower, and the bedroom is large and lovely. When Jim offered to dry clothing from a drenching rain, we thought he outdid himself. We loved talking with him, too, and discovered...

We stayed two nights at the Lattice Inn, in the Sandpiper Suite. Jim was an amazing host - very knowledgable, friendly and accommodating. From the outside you could not fathom how beautiful and charming the inn is. We enjoyed sitting on the swing on the porch, having a drink and watching the world go by. Jim adds so many personal...

My husband and I loved The Lattice Inn. Jim was very welcoming and even made a special dessert bread for our first evening. His breakfast was superb and our room and the common areas were lovely. Jim explained the history of the B&B and he gave us tips for visiting the Civil Rights museums downtown. I would love to go...

This B&B is a true gem. Jim is a wonderful host, updates throughout the day on places to visit, dining and sight seeing. The room was clean and cozy, full of charm. The morning breakfast was out of a magazine, colorful and tasty. Well worth the stay, look no further.

In a cozy, somewhat funky cottage, the interior of this B&B turns out to be luxurious. Really nice spaces and beautiful furnishings, no kitsch. (Also, great pillows.) The owner is exceptionally attentive, makes a fine ample breakfast. There are two small neighborhood commercial districts with nice restaurants nearby, one just three or so blocks away. Very quiet location. Not far...

Very personable host, good breakfast, very, very comfortable room. We couldn't ask for anything more. We will be sure to go back for a return visit if we are ever in the area again. We had some nice walks around the neighborhood.

Everything was perfect. Breakfast was amazing. It was quiet and a great nights sleep. I wish there was more time to relax in the historically rich front rooms. We will plan on another visit to the Lattice Inn.

We just stayed at the Lattice Inn for the first time. We were in Montgomery for the 50th anniversary of the walk from Selma. A very comfortable, clean, quiet inn with no pretense in an historic part of the city. Jim is a great host and a great cook! We will be back...and El Rey restaurant nearby was excellent..fresh, true...
