My husband and I have been doing a road trip through the south of the US and we stayed at the Kate Shepard House Bed and Breakfast for one night when we were in Mobile. On our arrival we were greeted by Wendy, the owner and our host for the evening. I can't say enough nice things about Wendy. We'd...

A delightful stop over enroute to New Orleans. Beautiful home on the historic register beautifully furnished and super comfortable. Wendy is a gracious host who has thought of everything including sherry or port in the sitting room before going out to dinner. We wish we had more days here to enjoy this home as well as Mobile AL that has...

I decided to stay at a B&B on this trip to Mobile as my last stay at one of the hotels off Airport Blvd was not the greatest. I am SO HAPPY I chose The Kate Shepard House! Wendy is the most gracious hostess! First, she meets me at the car to help with the luggage. I then meet the...

This B&B is a jewel! Warm, cozy and very clean rooms made for a comfortable stay. Fresh delicious cookies were available in late afternoon as we arrived. Breakfast was ready just minutes after we descended to the dining room. Our gracious hostess gave us a history of the house while enjoying a delightful breakfast soufflé complete with audio and visual...

Having stayed in several bed and breakfasts over the years I feel that I have a good basis for comparison and this bed and breakfast is lovely. All of the rooms are clean and as you stop and look around each room you are surrounded with beautiful furniture and appointments that take you back to a very different day and...

We grew up 3 doors down from this historic memory in the 70's. Wendy and Bill have done a great job in restoring the old gal. Wendy is quite the Innkeeper. She even invited the neighbor who has lived in our old house for 2 decades over the visit- so nice. The breakfast was as good as any Brennan option...

My wife and I were travelling through Mobile as part of our Gulf Coast trip from Florida to Texas in September 2009 (sorry for the late review) and didn't really know where to stay (being from London and clueless). We found Kate Shepherd House recommended on another website and decided to email them to find out if they had availability...

My husband and I decided to travel to Mobile for our "babymoon" recently. Kate Sheppard House was the first thing that pulled up in Google. We were traveling with dogs, so our main concern was finding a dog-friendly place to stay. I called, and Wendy was literally the nicest person I've ever spoken to on the phone. She sounded genuinely...

We spent our honeymoon at The Kate Shepard House B&B, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Wendy and Bill are the nicest, most gracious hosts we've ever experienced. The house is stunning. We stayed in the Mobile Bay room, and it was lovely. Wendy had left us a lovely note at the door with instructions to accomodate our check-in...

Owners are warm, personable and they seem to savor the house and they enjoy sharing its special history. The house is is located on a quiet residential street; it is comfortable and nicely appointed. The delicious breakfast is enhanced by discussing the house and the area's interesting history. Wendy's previous international hotel experience and Bill's maintenance skills translate into a...
