Beautiful hotel close to the action/ Jonker Street but not too close. Our room (on the 2nd floor) like many over looked an inner courtyard - extremely quiet. Quality bed & fittings, although the the bathroom was a bit of a tight squeeze! Daily paper. History room. For anyone with mobility problems - a ground floor room is a must;...

The hotel has a superb location adjacent to Jonker street! its walking distance to all the museums - Nyonya Baba jewellery, Nyonya Baba Museum, Admiral Cheng Ho Museum and of course to all the little eateries. The hotel itself is part of the Melaka History and the decor is beautiful maintained. A balanced mixture of traditional architecture with modern amenities....

im a local, i love Melaka but i usually just done it by day trip instead of staying overnight. i went with my love one. (we both studies about hospitality) in that case, he is my choosy man but he choose this hotel after so much of walking in the town! honest speaking as a student, it's not really cheap...

It's superb to have a free parking space. Hotel Puri has their own parking around 50metres from the hotel. But first we dropped of our luggage and then parked. The location is in the heart of Melaka is great. Not at the Jonker Street which can be noisy during weekends. But you walk at Jonker Street in just a few...

What more could you ask for? The Puri is an excellent hotel in an exquisitely restored building in the centre of the best part of Melaka. Great rooms, great location. And good value. I couldn't fault it. When we arrived, we had 2 rooms on the third floor (booked only a couple of days before). It was going to be...

From the outside, along the roll of the street is where we called the 'BaBa Nyonya' house. They are a 3 storeys high houses with the classic olden days architectural style from the “Straits Chinese” (Chinese of noble descent who have adopted the Malay culture into theirs). As I stroll in from the entrance, felt like I have been brought...

Didnt actually stay here this visit but have done in the past. The place is well worth a walk around as it is full of history, even having a small museum at the back of reception. We stayed for a coffee and had an interesting hour with Ms Jo who made us laugh and took some great photos of our...
