The owner Chau is so very helpful and knowledgeable on what to see and do in Melaka. The guest house is clean and well set up for independent travellers with kitchen facilities and lots of comfortable sitting areas. We were worried that it might be noisy with our room overlooking the street but it was not a problem and we...

We really enjoyed our stay in the Old Town Guesthouse and would highly recommend it. The rooms are basic but clean with good air conditioning. The shared bathrooms were plentiful and kept very clean and the basic breakfast was welcome in the morning. The location was fine and within walking distance of the main sights plus was opposite a great...

Brilliant guesthouse and excellent value. Chua went out of his way to help us. He showed us all the places to visit in Melaka, booked our taxi and stayed up late for our arrival as we had a late flight. The room was extremely clean and well maintained. We opted for a shared bathroom and the facilities were always spotless....

This hostel is NOT recommended at all. First of all, the owner is arrogant, and he doesn't really know how to talk. It was the main reason why I didn't stay there. Or I could have compromise... When we talked over the Internet, he said "Thank you for your inquiry. Room 6 not available on your arrival. I will put...

Great location, great owner and great rooms. We stayed for 4 nights in private, airconditioned room and really enjoyed our stay. The place was really clean and there were hot shower also if you wanted to use it (it was so hot in Melaka that we preferred the cold shower). Guesthouse is close to many good restaurants in Chinatown and...

The guesthouse is one of the best I have ever been. The owner is extremely friendly and gave us many suggestions about Melaka and Malaysia. The rooms and the common areas are really clean, since there is a really kind woman that cleans everything all the day long. Felt like staying at home!

stayed here for 4 nights with my wife and daughter. Chua was very hospitable opening his guesthouse / home to us. The place was clean, open kitchen, no curfew and ample toilets and showers. What sets this above from the rest is the owner. Part of the check in process is getting our preferences and likings. From this he would...

Had a great experience. The owner gave us a power strip so that we could plug in more devices, and repaired the shower faucet holder as soon as we informed him that it was broken. When we told him that we liked to eat, he gave us a great list of tons of good restaurants in the area and showed...

Old Town is one of those places you just feel at home. We stay at many guesthouses and rarely do you really get that feeling. The owner was so friendly and helpful from the minute we checked in, giving us plenty of suggestions of where to go and what to eat. The room was small but very comfortable with ice...
